Earth Day, 2016.
Happy earth day. I spent the day listening to and watching a tree on my property get murdered by my neighbors. It was 100+ years old, shaded our house and was the home to many creatures. I'm forever going to mourn that tree. I've now decided I very much dislike the old fucks next door who did this and will forever. Happy fucking earth day to me. Now I'm going to go plant a tree!!!
Bathrooms in North Carolina have become a lightning rod for transgender rights across the country with the passing of a law that, in part, requires people to use only public bathrooms that correspond with the sex they are assigned at birth.
Sarah McBride, a 25-year-old transgender woman, decided to take action against the law.
“Here I am using a women’s restroom in North Carolina that I’m technically barred from being in,” she writes. “They say accepting me as the person I have fought my life to be seen as reflects the downfall of a once great nation.”
She lists some of the terms that underscore the mounting hysteria around transgender women who use the women’s restroom — “pervert,” “man dressed as a woman,” a “threat” to children, “confused,” and “dangerous.”
“I’m just a person,” she writes. “We are all just people. Trying to pee in peace.”

Oh my! She has been entertaining herself with a bottle and a lid for the past thirty minutes. She just puts the lid on and then takes it back off and then talks into the bottle. She is even intentionally flipping the lid over so she can put it directly on top of the bottle right when she picks it up. She is blowing my mind!
