Greta Gerwig at the screening of ‘Frances Ha’ at the Ritzy Picturehouse Cinema in Brixton. Frances Ha was co written by Gretta Gerwig and Noah Baumbach. Gerwig is amazing. She is doing a lot for women in the film industry, or in any industry for that matter. So this film 80s movie gets in name from a Bruce Springsteen song (which he wrote specifically for this film) which is written and directed by Paul Schrader (Taxi Driver) and stars Michael J Fox and Joan Jett who are in a band called The Barbusters. I find iy hard to believe I only knew this film existed a week ago. This cheap German Dvd is the only copy of I could get hold of (other than youtube).
