1) It’s extremely funny to say you don’t care about a thing that you talk about constantly

2) It’s extremely manipulative to say a thing as if it’s true if you don’t care about it and don’t actually know if it’s true! Manipulative because of the framing and because generally lies like that are used to manipulate people.

3) It’s extremely silly to have a worldview based around how Harry is selling his soul for commercial success while also stating that he’s just not that commercially successful (especially true in how she talks about HS1)

I assume by “victim politics” she means “victim mentality” type stuff—you know, the massive conservative talking point? It’s also been said again and again but it’s not like men don’t also present them selves as victims in romantic circumstances and yet I suspect Sea would complain about that less.

How dare she connect him to a band she was probably a fan of and not see him as his own person! How dare she clout chase by.....being excited! And to see this as some part of some fucking “strategy” and not just life happening as it does is, wow! These people! These responses are born of a relationship to a celebrity that is not healthy! There is no reason to feel particularly sad that The DMAs are album of the weekend and Louis wasn’t except that you’ve linked these two entities in your mind (because Louis likes then and wrote for them). There have been many people who aren’t Louis who got album of the weekend, there’s no reason this one should hit particularly hard except for the context that you’ve added.

And look: it’s ok to feel whatever about celebrities and what happens with them, but if you’re actively making unnecessary mental connections that bum you out that’s on you, not the world.
