A Guide For Finding New Vocaloid Song Releases
crossposted on Bluesky
So I have been meaning to make an informative thread on how to find new Vocaloid song releases, here are some of the sites/playlists I have been checking...
1. Kiite (https://kiite.jp/) A joint project by Crypton and AIST, Kiite is an online Vocaloid music player with additional functions (radar/cafe/world/check). All data comes from Niconico Douga. It’s easy to follow your favorite producers and have notifications when they put out new releases. You can favorite songs freely and also make your own playlists. There is no English version of the site for now, however, the site should be easy to navigate.
2. vocaloid pickupボカピク

I honestly cannot recommend this channel enough! They have been releasing new song release recommendations videos monthly since 2021. Every month there are two guest producers who recommend their favorite Vocaloid songs, and the other recommendations are from the vocapick team and listeners. There is a Google forms link open for song submission every month.
Vocapick also has a Kitte account (https://kiite.jp/user/vocapick39)
3. The official Hatsune Miku YouTube channel playlist
(https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL-pKPpZ1Q5NYK6AN_5lybs6xc5LlD5Pwj)
The Crypton team makes their own pickup playlist! Updates every Friday at 6PM (JST), so there the songs change every week. The selection of songs is not limited to Piapro Characters but rather a survey of the Vocaloid scene as a whole.
4. Niconico Vocaloid daily ranking top ten/日刊トップテン!VOCALOID&something
I recommend the Kiite playlist version, it’s a lot easier to check songs this way:

There are other places to find new releases as well! KARENT, Bandcamp, VocaDB... but I generally use Kiite and vocapick the most. So next time you see people complaining about AI slop and no good Vocaloid songs, well guess what, there's enough Vocaloid songs to last you a lifetime...
End of thread! Hope this helps out people somewhat! I used to do Vocaloid research for my MA, and you can read my thesis, which talks about Kiite, VocaDB, song evacuation and more here: matsuliquorstore.itch.io/connecting-c...
Have fun listening to Vocaloid!
