Ever met someone whiter than you? Not in a posh way or a ‘northern’ way, but in a “my family of seven moved into an abandoned ranch for cheap a few years ago. Yeah, in the cellar we found an old chest containing shredded clothes and newspaper articles about a house fire. Oh, and the last stall in the barn had some chains buried in the dirt, weird. But at least there’s the woods— we just cant go too far because something out there starts calling your name from deeper in. Wanna see the rabbits?” And you just have to stare at them as if they’ll somehow piece together how bad shit insane that is themselves.
DO YOU LIKE RP?? DO YOU LIKE TFA?? DO YOU WANT TO BE APART OF AN AWSOME COMMUNITY THATS TAILORED FOR EVERYONE? ITS SYSTEM FRIENDLY WITH SPACES FOR MINORS AND ADULTS SEPARATE FROM EACH OTHER WITH CHANNELS FOR BOTH TO MINGLE!! ITS NOT JUST A TFA RP SERVER, THERES CHANNELS FOR YOUR ART AND WRITING, FOR YOUR SHIT POSTS AND YOUR VENTS THAT WE CAN HELP YOU THOUGH LIKE A BOSS!!!

@keferon I love that this Zombie Au is happening right at Spooky Season. My favorite time of the year.
I had idea for Jazz Prowl communicating.
------------------
Prowl watched the area from his hiding spot from underneath the cover of lots of very, very, very prickly pine needles. He didn’t know much about trees, but he did know the low hanging thick sweeping branches of this one provided lots of cover and hid him completely from sight. Incredibly valuable when all around him was wide and open parking lot.
He shifted and something itchy fell down a crack in his shirt collar. Ugh~
Pine needles wouldn’t kill him, but a zombie would. Which is why he was here, waiting for the all-clear, underneath the low branches, being poked over and over again.
Prowl shifted again.
He had about four layers of heavy clothing on, how was he was being poked?
A shape shambled out of one of the building ringing the parking lot and stuck an arm up in the air. Mechanically the arm shifted back and forth in a stiff wave.
Good. Prowl sighed with relief, Jazz had scouted the store and it was zombie free.
He could leave the shelter of the tree and the pine needles.
Eyes and ears scanning, Prowl walked quickly across the parking lot. These days you could never be too careful. Ever. His vigilance had saved him more than once.
Jazz shuffled to the side, arm stiffly sweeping in a mechanical but grand gesture.
A smile tugged at the corner of Prowl’s lip.
“Thank you.” He said quietly before slipping through the doors.
Jazz did have the coordination to help him push the sliding glass doors shut, even if it was just leaning against the one edge and pushing. And he helped with pushing a large row of heavy shopping carts in front of the door, so that the emergency swinging function couldn’t work. Not many people knew that about shopping center doors, that they could be opened double wide, it was how half the store fixtures got inside.
The front and main doors secured, Prowl had the time to look around now.
He hadn’t actually realized what store Jazz had picked to scout out, too concerned with being on guard with his eyes and ears… and pine needles, to pay attention to what store they were going into.
A pet store.
Prowl glanced around and saw the collars and colourful toys lining the shelves, hanging in neat rows. Ripped open bags of pet food, the contents littering the floor, the pellets so stale they didn’t crunch at all when he stepped on one as a test. The whole place had been forgot.
A groan caught his attention and Jazz wobbled in place when he looked, a ‘come on’ gesture.
“Coming.” Prowl murmured.
Quietly, he followed Jazz.
And, as he passed a certain isle, an advertisement on the shelf caught his attention.
--
“I want to try something.” Prowl said.
They were sitting in what probably used to be the break room for the employees. Prowl had dragged up most of the large sized dog bed, and together it was an incredibly comfy pile. A camping lantern lit the room softly, bouncing off of the windowless walls. Jazz had been keeping watch over the hallway, but now he shuffled over to the table where Prowl was.
Carefully, Prowl started setting down the thing’s he’d grabbed from the shelf.
As he placed down each colourful large button he could feel Jazz staring at him, and not in the normal dead blank stare, but just subtlety underlined with skepticism and mild exasperation. Prowl didn’t care, he looked for solutions, no matter how or where they came from.
Picking up the packaging for the Speaking Dog Training Buttons, he flipped it over to read out the instructions.
He pointed to the red button. “This one says ‘Yes’.”
To the blue button. “No.”
Yellow. “Come.”
Prowl forced his voice steady as he pointed at the green. “Mom. Dad. Help. Bye bye. Look. Happy. And…” He trailed off. “…Treat.”
Jazz was still staring but his shoulders were vibrating like he was trying to laugh very, very hard.
With a stiff hand he reached out and pressed a hand down awkwardly on a button.
[Look] Jazz shifted, his shoulders still shaking. [Happy]
Prowl resisted the urge to pinch the bridge of his nose as Jazz pressed [Happy] again. And again. And again. It was very hard to resist.
[Happ-
The plastic hissed as he snatched it to the other side of the table.
“I get it!” He hissed.
Jazz flopped his head to the side, eyes staring blankly.
A deep breath in and Prowl slid the button back across the table. “I’m going to regret giving you these, aren’t I?”
Jazz leaned over the table again, head still flopped at an angle.
