((Hello!
I'm super tempted to actually bring this blog back but if I do, I might have to completely overhaul it and start anew. A fresh start sounds nice...))
((real life has been draining *blinks* but in the meantime, do I currently owe anyone a reply or does anyone wanna start something?))
The demon shrugged. “Well, lil’ brats don’ mean much. Still hot headed ‘n still learnin’.” The name rang a bell though, and he idly scratched his chin. Where had he heard that before? “Now… I’m gonna hazard a guess ‘n say this ‘Blue Star’ ‘s a kid witta name startin’ wit ‘S’. One ‘o my coworkers met a kid callin’ himself that a looong time ago. Didn’ hear no problems from him.”
"He is over six hundred. He is old enough to know better on a lot of things even though he is young," Horatio protested, crossing his arms over his chest. Why did everyone side with Sable now? It was irritating. He groaned. "Of course. Of course you have heard of him and he knows your coworkers. I bet that scoundrel loves the lot of you. And S, you have got it. Sable. His real name is Sable. People back home called him Blue Star though. It was like his stage name.”
"Nah, but the kid tha' Sable met is 'round 18. Iffin he's actin' like a kid, he's gonna get along wit' 'em." And, of course, Frier simply laughed at his annoyance. It was only two of them (perhaps three) that had ever met this Blue Star, but they were either teenagers or they just didn't care. "Iffin he didn' learn 'is lesson once, ya gotta try it again 'til it sticks. Iffin the humes won' learn from their mistakes th' first five times, then what's ta say it's stickin' wit'im?"
-
"I get it. You are old," he grumbled. He didn’t see why one couldn’t be practical and avoid doing stupid things. It kept from wasting things. He didn’t not enjoy life, did he? He liked his job so there was that. Was that it? Now wasn’t the time to worry about it, not over Frier of all people. "Excuse you. Like I said, you do not know this guy. He blames me for his shitty mistakes. It is ridiculous. He runs around calling himself ‘Blue Star’ for crying out loud and he acts so terribly childish. And he is younger than us both if that means anything.”
The demon shrugged. "Well, lil' brats don' mean much. Still hot headed 'n still learnin'." The name rang a bell though, and he idly scratched his chin. Where had he heard that before? "Now... I'm gonna hazard a guess 'n say this 'Blue Star' 's a kid witta name startin' wit 'S'. One 'o my coworkers met a kid callin' himself that a looong time ago. Didn' hear no problems from him."
"Yer sayin’ tha’, but ya know how much older I am. I’m still missin’ that damned general from my days in th’ army ‘n I hated that damned place after the first day, hah!” The last bit, he had to stifle his laughter. If he let it out, it’d only get worse. And it wasn’t like Horatio didn’t deserve a little torment. He had to find better ways to deal with it after all. Other than being a little prick about it. “Showin’ ya they care, huh?”
"I do not care how old you are," he retorted indignantly. He sure knew how to get under his skin and without even trying it seemed. "You are obviously less practically minded than I am if you miss some ‘damned general’ from somewhere you hated so quickly. There is no point in dwelling on it." He had to say things like that to at least try and be superior, or at least feel like he was. “And you do not know the person I speak of. It was an act of aggression! Not caring.”
"Practicality starts losin' meaning once yer old. Gotta learn ta enjoy life, even if it means takin' the long route or doin' somethin' stupid just fer the hell of it." And he'd never been one for practicality anyway. It was boring and made an experience too short. You learned less too and it tended to narrow one's mind. Horatio was something of an example, if this conversation had anything to prove. "Then ya had ta do somethin' ta irritate him, huh? Can't blame no one but yerself."
Freir simply laughed again and shook his head. “When yer as old as I am, ya need ta learn a lot less ta get by. I’ve done ‘nough growin’ up fer one lifetime.” The demon had learned long ago that most situations were better dealt with by not taking it so seriously and simply rolling with it. The fact that Horatio came in to apologize at all told him that someone had completely missed that lesson. “Now, see, ya start ta miss someone when ya don’ see ‘em fer a while. Love or hate ‘em, ya start missin’ ‘em.”
"There you go again, just like last time. Talking down to me for my age. I know I am not nearly as old as you but 832 years old is still nothing to sneer at.” Though people at home even treated him like he was young, but in their case it made them impressed with him. This guy, this was something Horatio couldn’t get used to. He clenched his fists by his sides, not as a gesture of violence but one of frustration. “I am definitely too old to miss people I do not get along with. The last person I ‘missed’ splashed soda in my face and froze it. That stupid asshole,” he grumbled. It was uncertain if he meant to say that last part out loud or not.
"Yer sayin' tha', but ya know how much older I am. I'm still missin' that damned general from my days in th' army 'n I hated that damned place after the first day, hah!" The last bit, he had to stifle his laughter. If he let it out, it'd only get worse. And it wasn't like Horatio didn't deserve a little torment. He had to find better ways to deal with it after all. Other than being a little prick about it. "Showin' ya they care, huh?"
"Ah, but where would we be wit’out a lil’ camaraderie?" He laughed. Cute how he tried to act any different, as if sense had finally gotten through to him but really, an old dog couldn’t learn new tricks and he wasn’t expecting special treatment. (He hadn’t even been expecting the apology but that was something else entirely.) "Iffin ya don’ like me, ya didn’ have ta apologize. ‘Less ya really missed me in these months past, heh.”
Horatio crossed his arms and glared. He didn’t like being laughed at. Luckily it didn’t make him blush this time like it sometimes did. “I can dislike you and still admit to the fact that I acted like an ass towards you. I was out of line. Sorry. It is called… Oh, how do humans say it, ‘growing up’ or maturing.” Of all his bad qualities, not being able to see when he was wrong was not one of them. “I would say it is good to see that you have not changed but… I did not miss you! How could I possibly miss you?”
Freir simply laughed again and shook his head. "When yer as old as I am, ya need ta learn a lot less ta get by. I've done 'nough growin' up fer one lifetime." The demon had learned long ago that most situations were better dealt with by not taking it so seriously and simply rolling with it. The fact that Horatio came in to apologize at all told him that someone had completely missed that lesson. "Now, see, ya start ta miss someone when ya don' see 'em fer a while. Love or hate 'em, ya start missin' 'em."
It’s just a little funny seeing this blond again after so long, and Freir actually has the mind to bend down just a little for that flower that the other is holding, recognizing it’s place and snickering softly to himself. “Grantin’ me a great honor, are ya?” He laughed, straightening up and scratching idly at his cheek. “Much obliged~”
"You shut the fuck up," Horatio grumbled. "I mean, uh…" Horatio had changed a lot since he last saw the man. He was more open minded and relaxed. "It is an apology, I suppose. Do not let it get to your head… well, it is on your head but…” Something about this guy still made Horatio feel stupid and annoyed without fail it seemed. “Long time no see. I still do not like you.”
"Ah, but where would we be wit'out a lil' camaraderie?" He laughed. Cute how he tried to act any different, as if sense had finally gotten through to him but really, an old dog couldn't learn new tricks and he wasn't expecting special treatment. (He hadn't even been expecting the apology but that was something else entirely.) "Iffin ya don' like me, ya didn' have ta apologize. 'Less ya really missed me in these months past, heh."

"No, no, not there!" Alucio playfully bats Adrian's hand to the other side, and has him put the flower there. He wouldn't state the reason for his pickiness out loud but he still very much enjoys the gesture and his smile is still bright when he looks at Adrian. "What's bringing you around here, then?"

Why can’t she just read in peace. “What is it?”
"Nah, nothin’. Just curious. I don’t think I’ve ever actually seen that book before." The blond tilted his head to the side. "You wouldn’t mind telling me what you’re reading, would you?"
She simply stared at the other. Yes, she does mind because she doesn’t really like people. she sighed. “I don’t like talking.”
"That's a completely wrong answer for that question." Would he pry? Not really. But he was still curious and he moved around to take a seat on her other side for a peek. "Not even a title?"
Ehh? Where are you all coming from? I thought you all had lost interest in us~
