Some of the worked up drawings from the winners designs from the "create your own Superhero" school project with #thebigdraw

Spent the last few weeks going round various primary schools in the local area as part of #thebigdraw project. All the kids were really enthusiastic and some great ideas came out of the Create your own super-hero project. Winners were chosen at most schools (mostly name out of hat style) and i'm illustrating their characters as part of the project. Blue line sketches for a few of them attached.

Pencils for a Marvel UK swimsuit edition (done way back when they were popular). Don't think it ever went ahead so not sure if this was ever inked up by anybody or not. Motormouth and Killpower - was obviously asked to do it in the image style that was prevalent at the time.

A sketch of the Mekon from the Dan Dare strips from the Eagle. The 2000AD ones are apparently now getting a collection too - don't think they were greatly received at the time due to the changes they made to the setup but still top notch art from Dave Gibbons etc..

"How Whisky was Invented" - can't remenber who wrote this and I only ever briefly saw the lettered version, no idea where the originals ended up but they were done for a SCAMM exhibition that was touring round bits of Europe at the time (if memory serves)

Sunspot from the New Mutants, X-Men etc. The character played a part in the future segment of the X-Men Days of Future Past movie - albeit as an amalgam of various characters - who knows why?

Can't show anything i'm working on just now so a couple of old Dredd doodles (based on the Stallone movie version)

Stayed up late watching the referendum and appropriately ended up doodling Calhab Justice from the Judge Dredd universe.

An old sketch from the days of the Scottish Cartoonists & Comic Artists Members Club (SCCAM) - think we all did a piece at the time to hang on the pub wall where the meet ups were - no idea where the originals ended up. Judging by the costume and She-Hulk comparing her boobs to Cap's i'm guessing i doodled this during the Rob Liefeld Captain America era.

Concept poster for a supernatural detective movie. Tempted to name and shame on this one, as lots of work done on prelim designs and concepts taken to various stages and finals before screenwriter backed out and decided not to pay / disappear / ignore emails and invoices etc. You would think i would learn to get at least some cash up front from new clients at my age - lesson learned (again!)

R.I.P. Robin Williams / MORK - bit late with this i've just got back from holidays and only found out about his death (deliberately had two weeks without phone calls or computers - bliss!)
