Admiration [Akito & Toki]

“I-” Her eyes looks over at him as he walked in. “How did… Kumi…” She mumbles under her breath before rolling her eyes and shakes her head. Taking out two bags of pasta and two jars of sauce, she then goes to the fridge. “If you don’t mind actually. It will help me get this done quicker.” Taking out a small baby spoon, she opens the jar and then begins to feed Sho. But he keeps refusing too. “Come on buddy its your favourite. Sweet potato..” She says not realizing that she didn’t put the pot on the stove with water.

Akito looked at her slightly confused then pointed back in the direction of the front door. “Was Kumi the girl who wanted me to come in?” He asked her as she moved around the kitchen. The male nodded when he heard her speak more and waited for an order and when he noticed the pot not on the stove he moved over to her. “Here, I’ll feed him and you can continue on with making food for the kids.”

"Yeah. That was her.." Toki said just before some giggles were heard from the other side of the couch. Both Toki and Sho, then look up at him before Toki shakes her head and quickly gets a spoonful of the food into his mouth when Sho was distracted. "Actually... It would be better if you got the pasta ready." It's not that Toki didn't trust him but she thought that would be an easier task for the time being.

After a couple minutes of yelling at her siblings, she finally managed to get them all to sit down on the couch. Looking at her 5 brothers and 4 sisters, a small sigh escapes her lips. Rubbing her one eye, she looks at all of them. “Now all of you are just going to sit there until supper is ready, you hear me?” There were some nods of the head and some yes’s too. Seeing the youngest male, she picks him up before turning the tv on and found a movie. Walking to the kitchen, she heard footsteps behind her and didn’t know it was Akito. So she ended up calling him out as someone else. “Kumi-chan… I told you to sit down on the couch until supper is ready.” Finding the booster seat, she sits little Sho down and sighs.

Akito looked around at everything, he was surprised at how she was handling all of these children. Was that why she wasn’t at school? He had no clue but maybe he could ask. As he moved closer to her so he could get her attention he heard her speak to him with a different name. At first he was confused but then he quickly spoke up, joking a bit with her. “I’m sorry…Should I go watch TV with the other kids?”

Toki took the papers and was about to say something before she heard someone calling for Neechan. She blinks once before walking away from the door and leaving it open. “Oi! Tora!! Leave Saki’s hair alone! I don’t want to see gum in it again…” Seeing that her sister was gone, Kumi walks back to the door and looks at him. The younger girl looks a lot like Toki except her eyes were green instead of blue. She knew her manners and took the males hand, welcoming him into the house before running off to find her twin sister.

Akito waited patiently for her answer since it looked like she wanted to talk but sadly she had to leave and he watched her go back to yell at who he assumed were children. Noticing the young child came back over towards him his serious yet sad expression quickly turned into a happy one, waving to her once again but this time not saying anything to her. “Oh, thank you!” He said as he let her take his hand and invited him in, taking off his shoes before going any further. The young male was then surprised to see she left him alone again quickly after. “Eh…?”

A younger girl opens the door and blinks as she looks at him. She didn’t say anything. “Ah…. Kumi-chan… I told you not to answer the door when someone knocks. I told you to let me know….” The smaller one nods her head head before scurrying off. Looking up, she sees who it is and narrows her eyes slightly. “Can I help you?”

At first Akito expected an actual grown adult to open the door so when he saw ‘no one’ at the door he made a confused expression, looking down to see a young child. “Ah, hi there.” He smiled softly and waved to her. Hearing the familiar voice and seeing the child run off the male looked up again to see Toki standing there. “I was worried about you so I went to see the student council, they said they didn’t hear from you either and wanted to hand you some stuff so they gave me your address.” He then handed her the papers. “And about the other day…..sorry about getting upset with you. Also don’t worry, I know the same guys probably bother you a lot but I know when someone says no once they mean no so I won’t bug you about it. I just wanted to see if you were okay.”

When Toki arrived home, her siblings were already home and she went right upstairs. Her mother must be working late since she didn’t hear her voice telling hr ‘Welcome back’ or anything. After staying up in her room, she only came down to cook food for her siblings and that was it. This also caused her not to come to school for the next few days.

Akito went home late that night only to go to sleep right as he fell onto his bed. Waking up the next day he was starving but late for school so he had to eat on the way, it wasn’t until the middle of the day he found out she wasn’t at the school but he just assumed she was sick and shrugged it off. After a few days he got worried about her and went to the school council room to ask, being that they wanted to send some stuff to her place and they were busy they gave him her address and the papers she needed. Luckily her place wasn’t too hard to find and he knocked on the door.

Toki just looks at him with an expressionless face as she was actually holding back tears. Placing down her skateboard, she then puts her foot on it before pushing with the other away from him. After far enough away, she wipes her clear from her tears that she didn’t want to fallen tears to show in front of him.

At the time Akito felt angry, it wasn’t because of the rejection but the idea she was letting a past experience get in the way of her future. Either way he let her go once again, if that didn’t get through to her there was nothing else he could really do. Standing in that exact spot for a few minutes he decided to sit against the wall of the school for a bit to think. Maybe it was because he heard a lot that she rejected men that he didn’t feel too bad about being rejected himself, he was already expecting it. When you expect it, it doesn’t hurt as much.

Her eyes were straight ahead, when he came up beside her and began to talk again. Hearing that familiar question, she sighs as she places her skateboard on the ground. “You guys never learn. And you can keep asking me every day… But my answer will stay the same.”

“Are you saying guys are all the same? Never learn? Every man has a reason to do something and when we do the same thing as another it doesn’t mean for the same reason. To me it sounds like you had a problem with one guy and now you can’t separate any apart from each other. I actually mean it when I am asking you this, I have no ill intentions.”

Akito gave out a deep sigh as she completely ignored him, he then shoved his hands in his pockets and made his way outside of the school and waited. When he spotted her walking out he walked over to her again, this time with determination. “You didn’t answer my first question but I’ll ask you this anyway. Will you go out with me? The reason why I wanted to know why you did it was so I can convince you whatever you are afraid of I won’t do it. I give my word to you as a man. Give me a chance.”

Toki turned the corner and walked to her locker. Putting the combination in, she saw someone quickly move to the corner. She sighs as her eyes stayed on the locker and changed her books to study at home. “What do you want?” She calls out to him as she puts her binder away.

Seeing her he was surprised to hear her speak up. Was she talking to him? He looked around and saw no one, and she didn’t have a cellphone in her hands either so she must have been talking to him! “Uh…..N-nothing! Go about your day!” Akito made his way down the hallway now, looking at the floor in embarrassment as he walked past her.

Toki just finished helping out with a student council meeting before school started this day and was heading to her locker to collect her things that was needed for her home room class. As she was walking, she saw someone and turned around only to see no one. She then shrugs her shoulders and kept walking.

Akito slowly but surely made his way to look and see if she had figured out he was watching or not. Seeing that she didn’t notice he mentally patted his own back and waited for her to turn the corner so he could continue. Once she did that he sped walked down the hallway, turning the corner so he could see her once again.
