“Yue wake up. It is time to head into the mountain” tomoe said gently as he gently tried to wake the small sleeping dragon girl. Tomoe had told the young one that he would be heading into the mountains today to take care of the spirits that called the mountain their home.

Since he was charged with take care of the land, it was tomoes job to give them the land gods blessing for the new year. “ come now young one. We must leave before day break if we want to make it back home from the mountain before dark” he huffed

Stretching like that of a cat, the tiny she-dragon mewled as she looked up at Tomoe. Right, today was the day she could go with him up the mountain! Shaking away her sleepy thoughts, she crawled out of bed and rushed to get ready. 

Letting out a precious purr, she ran up to the fox, her tail swishing back and forth happily as she glowed. “Ready, Tomoe-nii.” she cooed softly despite her big icy blue eyes revealing the excitement she could barely contain. Even if they were to return at nightfall, Yue felt that she could guide them with her light.

Kneading down in front of the young girl, tomoe took the scarf he had been holding and wrapped it around her neck to keep her warm. " it is a lot colder up on the mountain then it is here and you do not have as much fur as I do. " he said gently as he gave her head a small pat. "We can't have you getting sick. " after giving her hair a small ruffle he stood up " now let's go and bless the spirit for the new year" with that said tomoe moved to leave out the door walking a little slower then normal to help he keep up with him
