Run, Run Away
yesterdayssin:
The scent of Gabriel alone horrified Toby but, the very moment he saw those features of his kid brother he felt something far worse than horror. He could almost smell the thick, disturbing scent of death and how he probably wasnât long for this world.
Toby was no coward but, he had sworn to himself that he would never harm his siblings (aside from Molly, whom he no longer considered a sibling as it was.) This left him with only two options with very little time. One:) Run, as far and as fast as he can, or Two:) Stand his ground and accept his punishment. Heâd been fleeing for years now â promising he would never step foot in the same area as Gabriel again. And, he had done so without fault until now. ..And it wasnât exactly like Toby had just.. up and decided to drag Gabe here with him â this was not his fault currently. It couldnât be..
â..Gabriel. Please, we donât need this to end in violence.. ..I know youâre unhappy to see me but.. Itâs so good to see your face..â
There was very little clarity in Gabrielâs mind in the first place, but seeing his brother and hearing his brother in addition to being able to smell his brother blinded him with rage. Â He wanted to kill him so badly...to avenge everyone Tobias had wronged.
Yet still, he stopped. Â His hands were curled into such tight fists that his entire body shook. Â His brotherâs words didnât fully reach him, and he didnât want them to. Â The clearest part of his thoughts was the need to end Toby. Â Why he was resorting to words instead of actions confused him. Â Yet still, it was out of pure instinct. Â âWhat do you expect? Â An âI forgive youâ? Â I refuse.â
