Best Friends Turned Lovers Prompts

This wasn’t requests but I’ve seen these circulating around in the romance prompts department and compiled my favorites to share with you. I did not create these, so I shall not take credit, so the sources of these prompts are linked at the bottom of this post. Go check them out!

“I need you to make out with me. Don’t worry though, it’s for science.”

Character A discovers something Character B has given them way back.

Characters gave each other a promise when they were children and they wonder whether it’s still valid.

When parting, Characters agreed to meet at a certain place at a certain time in a certain number of years.

Character A receives a message that Character B, whom they haven’t seen in years, has been seriously injured.

“We’re not just friends and you fucking know it.”

“It killed me to see you with him.”

“See the eyes they’re making at each other? It’s going as planned.”

“I know they didn’t need my help, but honestly, I personally think they totally do.”

A and B are best friends. A is applying a new flavor of chapstick.“Can I try it? I wanna have a taste,” B asks curiously.“Sure, it’s coconut cream-” A starts to reply, but before they can finish, B kisses A on the lips.

Character A hadn’t noticed but their sweet, funny, goofy best friend,Character B, was kind of hot, especially since they’ve been on this fitness kick.

Imagine person A is hardcore crushing on B, and fantasizes about their relationship so much they often refer to the both of them as a couple and say “I love you” at the end of their phone calls accidentally

1) It was a clumsy kiss - neither of them quite knew how to do it properly. They’d read the stories, seen the films and tried to copy, but the films didn’t make every nerve ending in her body tingle and her hands shake as she brushed the other girl’s hair out of her face. This was scarier than the films. Better than the films. A laugh huffed in the space between their lips as they pulled back. “This can be one of your secrets too, if you like,” the girl whispered. But she couldn’t imagine it could possibly be secret. Not when her chest pounded so loudly and her heart felt set to burst with excitement. How could anyone not see it with a glance? 

2) Seven minutes in heaven. It was a wretched game, and should most definitely be called seven minutes in hell. Especially now, with two boys shoved in a closet and him the butt of the joke. Because never mind the bloody closet, it was losing a bet for the {name], beautiful, popular [name] to be forced by snickering friends in with him. …Kissing, actually kissing, with a warm hand cradling the back of his neck in the dark, had never even occurred. And yet there it was. Heaven and hell could both piss off only the remaining three minutes would last forever. 

3) “You’ve never kissed anyone, have you?”“Was it the freak out that gave it away, or was I just really bad?” She stared out the window, the sounds of the party crowding the door. She could still taste the filthy ring of fire pint in her mouth, or maybe that was the embarrassment. “You weren’t bad.” The other woman came closer into the dorm room, gently shutting the door behind her. “You know, if you didn’t want to do it, nobody would have minded. We would have just picked something else.”“I did.” It burst out. “I did - I did want to kiss you.” She’d been wanting to kiss her for weeks. “Just-”“Not as a forfeit?”“First kisses aren’t forfeit.”The woman caught her hands. “You weren’t bad - but, you know, room for improvement. If you want to teach me for net time.”

4) Backseats of a cinema. It was a bit of a cliche, really. Not quite as nice and private as the park-your-car screenings of years before either - but a little bit perfect all the same. Hero saved the world. Hero kissed the love interest. And you kissed my cheek, and I caught your mouth eagerly as I turned to look. I could taste the popcorn, swipe away the salt with my tongue. Feel my knees turn just as buttery. Ten seconds later it was over as the music changed and the scene ended.
