Like literally some people went out of their way to get pictures of me while somehow missing the about me where I say I'm panro and trans lololol. Goes to show how some people will literally do anything to warp shit in a desperate attempt to be acephobic.

Having a “straight asexual,” is as ridiculous as having a vegan 100% all beef patty.  It’s not fucking possible.  Because an asexual person does not experience sexual attraction, and since straight people experience heterosexual attraction, asexuals =/= straight.  Just exactly how a bucket of KFC fried chicken can’t be vegetarian because it’s made of fucking meat.

Ace/Aro people are inherently LGBT+ because their sexual and romantic identities do not conform to heteronormative rules.  And because they are not straight, they are queer.

I can’t believe I’m having to say it again.  It’s just so simple, the reason why you won’t accept it is obvious.  And I re-he-heally wish that people would take their blatant acephobia and choke on it.  Making sweeping, blanketing statements like “Ace/Aros aren’t lgbt+” simply because they aren’t gay is super gross on top of that, because it also insists that queerness is a measure of how homosexual you are only, and it also assumes what their sex life, romantic life, and gender are all also in alignment with cishetero norms.  Have you ever actually met an ace/aro person?  MANY do not conform to those standards.  

But hey, I get it.  Gays are bullies in the lgbt+ community.  They treated trans people and bi people and pan people just as horribly, and still do sometimes.  I mean, when we look at lgbt+ spaces and communities, a lot of them are racist as well.  Not to mention, misogynistic.  The events and discussions end up ultimately being a bunch of white cis gays circle jerking each other while looking at themselves in the mirror.  So maybe, you can take your shitty, warped fucking ideals, and shove ‘em, because at this point, I’m really losing interest.

I suggest we start a new group and call it the ABC’s.  All But Cishets.  Where if you aren’t cishet, you’re in.  I mean, if you want.  Let’s do better to be more inclusive of all queer people and not turn it into some fucking gate keeping “you got to know someone to get in,” kind of event.

if an aro/ace person does not experience same gender attraction and is cis, they don't belong in the lgbt community. make your own space i don't want to be lumped in with cis straight people.

It’s both.  Again, what part of “Ace people aren’t straight,” don’t you get?  Asexual people do not experience heterosexual attraction, and therefore aren’t straight.  Asexual =/= Straight.  Seriously.  Read it again.  Say it out loud.  Write it down if you have to.  You’re not thinking clearly.  I don’t know how else I can word it to make it simple enough for you to understand.  I just don’t.  What aren’t you getting?

Queerness is that which is outside of the heteronorm.  So, Ace people are queer.  We don’t owe you an explanation.  We don’t need your validation.  I don’t need to marry my boyfriend of 4 years before I get my Queer Membership Card.  I don’t have to suck his dick to earn a place at the table.  I earned it when I realized my sexuality in no way resembled what people were telling me it was supposed to.  Honestly, we’ve seen this kind of ignorance in the past, when gay people were not wanting to accept bi, pan, trans, and non-binary people into their midsts.  And while this kind of ideology is still alive today (I stand by my bi, pan, trans, and NB family, and am witness to ___phobia regularly.  It still exists) we can see how it’s waning, if only slightly.  Bi, pan, trans, and non-binary are now sometimes included.  It isn’t enough, there’s still a lot of progress to be made, but it’s a start.  I hope we’ll get to that point some day, too.  I hope it’s someday soon, and that this Parade of Ignorance is short lived.  Honestly.  Please believe me when I say I’m queer as a $2 bill and I don’t need your permission to be.

Boys from the ages of 10 to 16 were being presented trophies for their talents in the sport when IS killed them. Bear in mind the importance of football in Iraq, it holds the biggest form of unity to the people of Iraq, Sunni, Shi’a, Christian, none of it matters when it comes to football. IS strategically did this at a football tournament to show that nothing is safe. These were young children killed far too early. 

It’s frightening the place that white bodies hold in times like this over brown bodies. As Teju Cole once called it, we’re ‘unmournable bodies’.

Has anyone had a problem with their cat going into heat AFTER being fixed?  I mean Dustbunny still did the caterwauling occasionally for the first month after.  But like it’s nearly April, Dandelion has been fixed since January, and she’s still doing it regularly.  Just for like a day or two every two weeks or so.

I mean I’m fairly positive she’s not in estrus, but she’s acting like it, and it’s attracting a bunch of male strays and it’s kind of annoying lol.
