My dream is to have a house full of friends, where we can eat all together then playing cards until late in the night, laughing and singing. Or where we can have a hot chocolate and a deep conversation. A safe and welcoming space for me and my loved ones.

I want an additional bed to host those who come from afar and a big kitchen table for lunches and dinners.

I want someone to cook pies with, to travel with, to spend the Christmas holidays with.

I want to be loved and to love. That's a simple dream, really. That's my concept of family

As Aromantic Visibility Day (June 5th) approaches this year, friendly reminder from an aroace: it's Aromantic Visibility Day, not "Aroace" Visibility Day! Not all aromantics are also asexual — there are aromantics who are allosexual (aroallos for short), aromantics who don't separately label their sexual orientation at all, and aromantics whose sexual orientation doesn't fit into an ace/allo binary, as well as likely even more aros who don't fit into "aroace" for even more reasons — and all of them are equally included in Aromantic Visibility Day, because they are equally aromantic! In fact, those aros who aren't ace are disproportionately erased and in need of visibility, even more than aroaces are (which is really saying something, because aroace visibility itself is already terrible), so including them in Aromantic Visibility Day is vital, and using the correct name for the occasion instead of calling it an "aroace day" is a start.

Overall: again, speaking as an aroace myself, we aroaces will not be offended if you just call Aromantic Visibility Day the thing it is actually called! I care about sharing this upcoming day with my fellow aros, so stop excluding them, even accidentally! We aroaces celebrate this day but it is not for us exclusively!

Keep getting reminded why its not really safe for me to be out to my family, and then seeing my irls being out to their families at least to some degree and just getting all mixed feelings.

My parents know what being trans is but I'm not, trans, I'm non-binary and my identity is still somewhat feminine so its little enough for my brain to just keep withstanding and putting up with the wrong pronouns being used.

Its like I don't have the words when really I have the words but they don't have the means to understand, they're from a different world and I'm trying to teach them but I'm lower than they are and therefore cannot know more than them.

Its like in their eyes I'm their child and not a person, like they'll always have that authority.

I see why theres so many stories where kids prove something to their parents, and even moreso why I feel a kind of kinship toward that, especially when the point the kid was proving was as perceived by the audience, absurd or unreasonable.
