Well, Sky High, it's been real.
But Loki and I are busting out.
Finishing my thesis early and getting my doctorate next month is good enough for me and I gotta say, running a company from the actual company site is probably a lot easier than a school floating above New York. So we're heading off to Malibu. After a year and a half of this place, I'm pretty sure I've had enough of school for a long while.
He's going to leave you in the middle of the night, when you don't know, when you're sleeping and unaware...

Hah, he wasnât, trust me. I believe our conversation involved engines and metal, far from words and paper. But I was at a conference and through a few people I know I was able to meet and speak with him. He was a great man.

Well, well, well.
Well, I was meaning more of the architectural design of the surface of Sky High but I suppose it is floating for that reason, so I donât blame you for gloating. A pleasure to meet you, Tony. I met your father once, briefly.Â
Oh you did, huh? Didn't think my dad was the literature type.

Sky High. What a place. Itâs beautiful, from what Iâve seen so far. Quite the architectural designing feat. I wonder how they accomplished this? Must have taken a few years to build. I guess this is where Iâm supposed to introduce myself. Cliff York, or Professor York for those who have me (but if you call me Cliff in class I honestly wonât mind all that much). Brand spanking new professor of literature and philosophy. Please, introduce yourselves.
Yeah not my kind of teacher but I can't resist a good gloating.

Don't Leave Me Again || Frostiron
Loki wondered for a mere second if holding the other man would be better, but he knew that Tony probably wouldnât enjoy losing that much control of the situation so he would hold him like this and not mind one bit. One arm around him was better than nothing. He chuckled softly and shook his head when the other man spoke. âTrust me, darling, I will be fine.â He still had socks on, at least.
The walk to the hospital was⌠difficult, for lack of a better word. Pulling the other man along wasnât hard at all, but the worry and the fear gripping his own chest was. What if there was something wrong with him? Worst of all, what if something was wrong with him because of something that he did? Gods, he already felt horrible enough for what he had done to the man. He already felt enough like a monster. What was more to add on to the pile? As they stepped into the emergency room, Loki held up a hand to gesture for a nurse.Â
Luckily the emergency room, for once, was fairly empty. There were a couple people being treated but the nurse Loki signaled was able to come over without a problem. "Hello, Mr. Stark." The nurse greeted him in a soft tone as she looked over him, assessing the situation. "Alright, why don't you come in and sit down?" She looked at Loki. "Would you like to wai-"
"He's coming with me." Tony responded quickly, his hold on Loki tightening. "And..." He swallowed and made a clear attempt to calm his tone. "I want Doctor Yinsen. Is he available?"
The nurse nodded. "I'll check if he is. Let me get you settled in first. Is that alright?" Tony nodded and she lead them into the examination room. The nurse helped Tony sit on the table and coaxed him to release his white knuckled grip on Loki's clothes, reassuring him that his fiance was going to remain in the room. Tony protested and his panic seemed to jump. His breaths grew shorter. The nurse, however, was experienced in these matters and, eventually, she managed to get him to settle with holding Loki's hand. She began doing the rudimentary check ups, listening to his heart, shining a light in his eyes, and finally, taking his blood pressure. She took down notes before excusing herself, telling them that she would go find the doctor.

Loki had to prevent himself from breathing heavily, the other manâs panic reflected in him through his bond. It wasnât that it was overtaking him, no. It just helped him understand it a lot more. It helped him so that he knew what was going on. âAlright, calm down, love, weâre going to go to the hospital, alright?â He held onto the other man a little tighter, not letting him go for a second as he closed his eyes and tried to envision the lobby⌠But he just couldnât do it. The panic was welling up too much in his own chest now.
The only other way would have to be walking. At least the hospital wasnât far from the dorms, and if he pulled the man at a decent pace they would make it there before he knew it. âJust breathe⌠Itâs alright.â It was a bit chilly out, and he knew the other man needed shoes, so he sighed out as they got to the front door and slipped out of his own slippers (his favorite onesâthe ones with the rubber on the bottom). âPut these on.â He could withstand the cold. He could more than withstand it, he thought bitterly.
Walking was weird. His knees were shaking and he felt disoriented. But with an arm around Loki, he could manage it. He could already feel his mind clearing out just a bit and all the static was starting to fade. Tony could still feel the hitch in his throat that didn't exactly let him take in a full inhale but at least he could think.
He looked down at the slippers in front of his bare feet. "What about you, tough guy?" he managed a shaky smile towards his fiance as he slipped the slippers on. "Don't step on any rocks. Immortal god or not, that shit hurts." Tony's voice was trembling almost as much as his hands. He walked stiffly and one hand was still gripping tight to Loki's shirt. His knuckles were white. Tony didn't notice.
