I am currently reading Pride & Prejudice and watching the 1995 BBC TV mini-series at the same time, and every time I see Mr. Bingley (played by Crispin Bonham-Carter) I have to keep telling myself: don't project Laurens on him

one thing I’ll never forgive American historians for is making Alexander Hamilton more and more manly and macho looking, the more time went one.. like what happened to referring to our contemporary sources, those being “delicate features”, “feminine rosiness”, “slight”, “so youthful and handsome that other men seem either jealous of, or attracted to, him", “boyish”….
