Hi friends, I do tattoos now. Might post some here sometimes. Kitty from this weekend :)

I found the most polite Tigrosa wolf spider today! she sat still on my hand for a good minute while I cleared out an isopod pit for spring.

set her down by the isopod pit. she might take a few as a snack, but that’s fine by me

my isopod pits are shallow holes with a slab of rock over them, filled with old cardboard and wood. since they’re an attractive place for isopods to shelter, it makes it easy for me to spot any mutant individuals, like this orange Armadillidium nasatum!

I don’t really need him since I’ve already got orange ones from here, so he’ll just add some color to the local herd.

the wolf spider was also sharing her corner with this handsome young garter snake, who I put back afterwards too.

Mother

as someone who used to do a lot of taxidermy, people would often gift me kittens from their litters that didn’t survive. Their variance in form at different early stages was astonishing to me. I was lucky that my hobby allowed me to see and touch the bodies of these individuals, I believe every layer of them was beautiful.
