I mean…if it was a fully grown person I would probably slap the shit out of them, but a kid? I can’t see any sort of justification for doing that. That is definitely a good moral people need to learn, though. No matter how much I might have wanted to punch her, it was also not my place. Even if I reallywanted to. It probably wouldn’t have helped anything.

Right there with you on all notes. That’s definitely true because it kind of ties to the whole ‘emotions running high’ deal that most likely started the predicament. It can be really easy to get caught up in a fast-paced moment and before you know it, your heart has basically hit the override switch with logic. It’s best to either take a deep breath and step away for a bit or if things do take a turn in that moment, get ready to do some damage control.

Thank you! It sucks, and I read somewhere that it usually lets up around week 16 so I still have like…two fucking months of this shit left. I hate it. But at least it’s apparently a good thing. Means the body is protecting the pregnancy like it’s supposed to or something. But yes! I am most definitely interested. Anything that could help would be great.

Yeah, I honestly feel a little conflicted. On the one hand, there’s literally no reason in the world to react like that. Especially not with your kid. He was just upset because he was told ‘no’; the kid couldn’t have been more than 2 or 3. It’s expected at that stage. There’s a reason it’s called the terrible twos and the treacherous threes or whatever. But on the other hand, I also don’t do well at someone screaming in my face. But I also would never hit a kid. So. Yeah. Woman was gone before I could even say anything after the initial shock of seeing it wore off.

You’re welcome and honestly, I’m still sorry to hear that. But gotta give credit where credit is due. Whether it’s to people for putting up with it or science for some form of explanation for why the human body does what it does. Just let me if you’re alright with swinging by the Bijou or if you’d rather have me bring them to you and you’ll have yourself a peppermint supplier.

I don’t know how I’d handle someone screaming at me either, so the jury is still out on that. But I couldn’t agree more that there is no way anybody could just explain why they would lay a hand on their child like that. Kids will get upset rather easily at both of those ages and it’s a given, like you said. Moral of the story is that people are wild and occasionally very infuriating, especially when they pull something like that.

Actually, I lied. That’s not all. I was in the grocery store a little bit ago, and I saw a mother full-on slap her kid across the face because he screamed at her (and I don’t mean short, I mean window-breaking, 30-second long, too of his lungs screamed at her), and I honestly don’t know how I feel about that… Random, I know, but whatever. Now I’m done.

First off, sorry to hear that you have morning sickness. Second, congratulations nonetheless and I’ve got quite a few bags of mini peppermint sticks if you’re interested?

And please forgive me for going back to the subject of the grocery store, but what the actual fucking fuckery? Honestly...this town and some of the people in it never cease to make me speechless. There are so many better ways to handle any situation, that one especially. Let’s just hope that I never run into them or they run into me because the exchange would end up ugly as hell.

I can manage to take care of myself. Not only do I have a hell of a lot to be okay for, I’m fortunate enough to have a job that keeps me on my toes. No problem, any time I can hopefully make someone keep an extra eye out, I will. I’d really rather not anyone else get hurt.

That’s good on the majority of those notes. I imagine that having a high energy job would do that as well as keep your mind working overtime. But hey, always happy to lend a helping hand wherever I can, even if it’s small. Who got hurt though? If you don’t mind answering of course.
