My Dear Vincent AU:

Out of curiosity, is there a particular incident or divergence from canon that caused Alastor to 'snap' like Homura did in Rebellion?

If this take place during/the end of the season 2 finale, did Vox end up going too far during their 'Don’t You Forget' duet?

Or perhaps, a more amusing or ironic scenario: like in your hypno-Alastor art, Vox had been trying brainwash Alastor in the tower, trying to tempt him with memories of the good old days and oh if only they never fell apart. If only they could be like they were before!

And it works... just not the way Vox intended.

Everything was planned by alastor.

First he needed break the contract with rosie so everything what happens in season 2 still happens except for the second fight when charlie recognized vox as the powerful sinner in hell and touch her breaking the contract they made so the fight start but here is where everything changes because alastor move somewhere so far and when they finally are alone, alastor use his vudú magic and theres where the comic started so tecnically alastor stop the heavens war with hell by taking vincent out of vox.

Everyone notice vox dissappear but is the hell, and nobody cares. The vees were so mad with Vox that they thought he ran away with alastor, so they didn't want to search for him because they were mad with him. And now, with vincent there, alastor take care of him, like having little chats, leaving him have fun with the hotel members, especially charlie, who thinks Vox wants a second opportunity. They drink in the hotel because alastor want to avoid everyone see vox, so Vox needs to keep on the hotel all the time, something he no care because he enjoy help there and talking with alastor. Meanwhiles alastor is more aggressive outside of the hotel, especially to who dare to close to Vox or try to trigger his memories.

Alastor knows one day Vox will recover his memories and know they will fight again, but as that doesn't happen yet, he will be nice with him the time he can have.
