“Okay, yeah, it’s almost eight, but what else?” When he doesn’t get an answer past the confused look he sighs, as if he has any right to expect otherwise with his vague questions. “It’s hockey night. And you’re wearing Toronto colors.” As if that’s going to mean anything to Yuuri.

Yuuri stares at the younger man and blinks a couple of times. He honestly forgot that hockey was even a sport to begin with. He had only been to Canada a couple of times and he was always far too preoccupied with the competitions to really ever get a chance to indulge in the country itself. “Oh.. it is?… is Toronto a team?”

"Yeah- well, Toronto's a city, but it has a team. And their team happens to have a long-standing rivalry with the Montreal team- that's where you are now- because Montreal is better." He leans against the wall beside the Japanese skater, gesturing to the people around them. "If you're just trying to enjoy the nightlife though, this isn't the spot for it. Want some help?"

"No, I know, most people don't hate me. Yuri, your guys' coach and his wife are like half the Russians I know though and if the yelling is anything to go by I'm not all that wanted there." That doesn't seem to bother him much though, he shrugs it off with a grin. "That's actually kind of what I wanted to ask though. Do you know if I did something to get on Yuri's bad side, or is he just like that? I know he's competitive but he's the only one giving me death glares."

i have no idea how old this ask is and i’m exceptionally sorrybut Niko always has random headcanons to share!!!

♕ JJ is undeniably a cat person. He doesn’t dislike dogs, but… cats, man.

♕ JJ (obviously) goes by JJ most of the time, it’s cool and convenient. He’s also totally ok being called Jean. However, the only person that calls him Jean-Jacques (and the only person allowed to do so) is his mother, when JJ’s done something to deserve the use of his full name.

♕ JJ (like most of the skating world, probably) absolutely had a celebrity crush on Viktor Nikiforov for a while.
