How to use ratchet belt like a pro?

Ratchets play an important role in ensuring the safety of shipping goods, and once you understand how to use them, you'll wonder why you've ever used anything else. They maintain their tension with a built-in tensioner device and rated weight capability, making them a reliable and safe tie choice.

Open the handle

Open the ratchet handle and ratchet shaft until the opening slot points upwards. This is where the end of the webbing will be sent.

Entry shaft assembly

Close the ratchet to allow easy access to the shaft assembly.

Lead tape

Draw the free end of the webbing from below the ratchet, through the shaft groove, and enter in the same way.

The hook

Next, attach the hook in place of the ratchet and make the same hook on the other end of the webbing.

Remove loose

Pull the free end of the webbing to eliminate slack between the two hooks.

Tighten the flabby

Tighten any remaining slack by pumping the action lift ratchet handle assembly. You should see the webbing wrapped around the axle.
