The best part of making this fan-comic was noticing the TOE BEANS in bug noire reference photos and exploiting that detail as many times as possible in the artwork.

I kinda went off on this one, dunno what came over me. (It's brainrot! Brainrot came over me! I love D&D *weeps*)

Opal is my halfling cleric! A few sessions ago she died, was revived with a necromantic clockwork heart, her old deity no longer remembered her, and Asmodeus reached out to make a deal... She used to be twilight domain, and now she knows a lot more than she'd like.

Figgle & Opal! The D&D brainrot is strong!! I never ever ever thought I’d have a character make a deal with a D&D devil, but apparently Opal’s a cleric of Asmodeus now. 😈😫👀 She fully would have refused & died if a party member didn’t make a very compelling case and basically beg her to make the deal. In large part she wants to keep Figgle safe. (He’s essentially her QPP.)

I described this to a friend as "the most comforting thing I could possibly draw" haha.

This is when my OC Opal became undead! We're playing in a world without resurrection magic (we're trying to fix that) but we'd looted this one weird, necromantic heart off a construct and learned that it might be able to bring someone back. We didn't realize that meant they'd come back as undead.

This was supposed to be a quick doodle between comic pages but I felt that sweet sweet gut-punchy angst and had to finish the drawing. This battle was almost a TPK and it's honestly wild that anyone survived it. Opal dying & coming back wrong is the worst thing ever to her and the best thing ever to me. There are elements of it that are almost poetic in light of her backstory and it's already forcing her to grow.

This jellyfish triton wizard, Vessilandra, belongs to my DM. She floats! And she might be possessed by the god of lies (Cyric). I guess we'll find out next session!

Please applaud for the player in my D&D group whose character is a big tree. Inspired. Goofy. Tanky!! He can carry the whole party in his branches and move us faster (because barbarian). He can't go in most buildings, which is hilarious when stuff needs to happen indoors. He is both kinds of sappy and he's enlisted my character on a quest to try every kind of pie.

It's his birthday! (The player, not the tree, as far as I know.) Congrats on growing another ring.

A Paradox for a Paramour (FigAyda)

A FigAyda prediction comic! In this AU Porter is the BBEG because it's funny. However, I don't remember what Porter looks like and i was too caught up in Fig/Ayda fluff to care. Enjoy. (◡ ‿ ◡ ✿)

Some Fantasy High Junior Year spoilers ahead, but it's mostly speculation! I got to wondering what would happen if there was a TPK while Ayda's away with her dad.

my last draft of the synopsis was really plot-focused and i just recently figured out more about their internal conflicts and now i must protect them at all costs 🥺

New D&D character for a Waterdeep: Dragon Heist campaign! This is Darla Starfinder. For the first time, I rolled everything in character creation totally randomly, and the dice came up with a really fun character?? She's a githzerai graviturgy wizard with an investigator background, specializing in helping ghosts.

Happy 2024!!!! My next middle-grade graphic novel comes out this year! STAND UP! is an upbeat story about some queer, neurodivergent theater kids who want to be comedians. It's got so many things I love: a cozy bakery, creative kids AND adults, lots of jokes, non-traditional family structures, big dreams, and a tiny poodle.

There's no set release date announced yet but it's due out later this year. ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜
