There are folks in the MWM server who have made some cool reimaginings of the contestants and as much as I'd love to do things like that - I'm not great at mixing up a design. My ideas tend to be pretty simple and some of them are more stylistic stuff that'd only apply when I actually color something in.

Of course - I'm also someone who does things on a whim. So when I just wanted to do a practice redraw of the Scatman & Hatman render (since I don't draw them enough even with stuff I don't share despite them being Top 3 for me), it wound up becoming something that could be finished, and I decided it was the time.

I did this back in April, despite the fact my wrist was aching so you know, not in a smart way, but I was in the zone I couldn't help it. I should do more things, 'cause I'd like to show the kind of CRT-like effect I put on Lou more.

I have backlog of another thing I want to post (and that one is scheduled for later today) but considering I want to post more of my OCs here, I find it imperative I post the new ref I finished of my OC Heartbeat! (for those who aren't familiar since it's been a while since I've drawn her, she's my positive, optimistic, cheery roller derby star!). I've wanted to update her design for a while now - and I'm glad I finally got to it. Just had to really lock in and get it done. I'm a big fan of the color palette that I managed to come up with her.

Something that was meant to be warmup but it's basically an art piece. I did this back in January after my trips I took. One of those trips revolved around me going to Montreal and seeing Madeon perform Victory Live - it was cool as Hell and it was so much fun. Great thing to go to to try to get myself to travel a bit more.

I took so many photos and videos, and it was just so awesome. When I was looking through my photos, I really wanted to try practicing something with lineless and 'backgrounds' in a sense with one of the photos during Fire Away. And what do you know - the single proper released yesterday! It's a good way to finally post this.

Hello everyone, it's Tori here bringing another Art Summary but late yet again (I posted it before the New Year on Bluesky at least and hey - it wasn't like four months later on here at least too this time)

So this year, I decided that the base for my 2025 Art Summary would be made by myself this time. The main reason I did is because... I did not make a lot of finished art pieces this year! To the point that even though I've found ways to get around that in past years, I didn't feel like I properly could fill in the blanks the same way because I really lacked enough. I think the bursts of time I drew things were primarily in July (yet not for Art Fight somehow) and December. But I enjoyed making this, it was fun to add my own flairs of customization even if they're simple, while also thinking about how to make this a 'gallery' of sorts.

It was still difficult to choose though - especially when I realized I wanted the last space to be more for smaller things I've done. Although I'm really happy with what I managed to come up with in the end. Graphic design truly is my passion. It's February now when I'm posting it here on tumblr but I should really think about it.

This is something I've alluded to and finished last year and realized I should finally just post this now. There were folks in the MWM Discord who were drawing character stock icons in their own style, and I wanted to do that too and of course, I joined really late. This was in my 2024 art summary post, but I was intending on posting these after I made some with the rest of my mains.

...It's been a year now, I'm just posting this and we'll see if I get to that. I'm still proud of these - it was a really fun way to also test out a brush I tried to make myself. And it's also fun that the fact these three are my top 3 favorites hasn't changed. I think before there used to be an order but LR2 has made me think "Nah there's no order, they're just my Top 3"

Guess who finally finished a full art piece since July!

Back in August, my friend Lulu asked me to draw something for the Snailiens Listening Party because during each MWM round, and with them being in my Top 3, I already wanted to draw something in anticipation of their match so it lined up perfectly. It's basically a Snailiens/MWM-ified version of bo en's the Pale Machine cover since one of the songs in the listening party is that (thus the number + song name up there - which is based off of the back of the album and I thought it'd be fun to reference).

This was such a fun piece to work on - especially making stuff like the pixels and following the way that the album cover worked while changing the aspect ratio!

Mermay has always been a neat and fun art event that folks have done but I always lacked ideas in trying to draw anything for it. But then I remembered, I'm a big fan of the Citrus Squad from Cookie Run, and I thought it'd be fun to draw Lime Cookie as a real mermaid heavily based off of her mermaid costume from Cookie Run Ovenbreak. In this case, I drew her as human so if you're wondering, yes this is also my human headcanon for her! (It's been a good while since I've drawn her or really any of my human headcanons)

I used references from albanenechi and fatphotoref as well! They were really helpful and combining elements really made this turn out great.

I did not do a lot on Art Fight 2025 but I think if there's one thing I am happy about with what I did for Art Fight this year, it's that I focused more on quality than quantity and I'm really happy with the attacks I did manage to complete.

Be me, someone who loves Mashup Week Megamix and is a big fan of Bad Girlz and MAD/EONs, and doodle a bunch of these three before their Loser's Match starts because you're excited, but then not post them on tumblr during the week their match was on and instead three months later, when the second half has started and one of those matches has ended.

My forgetting aside, this doodle sheet was fun to draw. I had fun with the match. I liked the music and especially liked the lore. It makes me think of more ideas to hoard in my brain.

As a bonus, here's the most recent thing I've done which are some lineless doodles I intended to only make a few for warm up (like two or three) but instead, I did six. All related to my Top 4. "Tori there are five here" Yeah, there was a different MAD/EON I drew first but I hated it after drawing everyone else so I remade it.

Man it's been a while since I posted here huh. I just keep forgetting if I'm being real, just more tired but even though I feel like I haven't been drawing a lot, I do have some stuff built up - both art and doodle wise. I'll try to keep this description short.

These are two full-refs I made this year, particularly for Art Fight although I wound up getting these done late 'cause I started to feel pain in my wrist! I'm handling it and trying to be more mindful of my wrist. But I'm glad that I finally got a brand new outfit and reference for Mireille considering she REALLY needed one and I've been teasing it a while. The accessories were fun especially. I made a new icon too but depending on how many other icons I make this year, I'll just gather them all into the same post.

Secondly is the ref I made for a new OC that I made last year, but haven't really talked about. His name's Ridley and for the first time in a while, I've made something with a different OC world and actually stuck with it. He's just a chill guy ^_^ Hanging around and just casually chatting with folks. He's definitely not up to anything

In my attempts to get myself to draw more, I finally went for one of the 400 different little doodle ideas I keep having. In this case, lineless drawings/doodles (?) of Sanrio characters. And by Sanrio characters, it wound up only being Kerokerokeroppi 'cause he's my favorite and also I was just having too much fun drawing him. Cogimyun is there in the little doodles though, she's very cute.

The main drawing is me drawing his "My No 1" plush design (even if it's only a keychain) that I saw 'cause I thought it was cute and then I couldn't help but add a little background. The doodles I included were from me trying to eyeball or guess Keroppi's colors then the other two were from having a few more references (though to be fair, Keroppi HAS had colors like the first one before).

Art Summary 2024

Oh man it's been a while since I posted anything here. Usually, I post these on the last day of the year but I had a pretty busy time that... kind of kept me from doing that to the point I wound up forgetting. And honestly, I've also been using less social media mostly 'cause I've been pretty busy.

Still, I've posted so many art summaries on here that I couldn't not post 2024's. It feels incomplete to do something like that. There are a lot of things that I'm pretty happy about when I look back on the art I've done. It's actually pretty nice - and I'm letting myself post doodles or "less polished" stuff now too. Especially if it's like... one of the only things I've done.

I also decided I would add a little mark for what piece I'm the most proud of this year - which is what I marked as October's. And yeah - marked because technically I finished it in the first week of November but it's my list and I get to consider this October adjacent enough.

Pokecember 2024 Day 2 - Favorite Bug-Type

Guess whose doing Pokecember again? And yep - it's the same prompt list that @aquaspiderart made last year because I want to try to get more of the prompts done this time - even if I redo some. And in this case draw more of the prompts.

I love Ribombee though - I couldn't resist drawing it again and this time, lineless even! This was real cute and fun to do

I have a lot of Mashup Week Megamix adjacent art ideas - and I finally finished one I had in mind since late last year... around November as well! I really got a start on this in October actually. . It's also based off an unofficial one called THE KING AND SHIA which features MAD/EON and the Ruler of Everything but still - it's soooo good.

A friend of mine was hosting a listening party in the Mashup Week Megamix official server with other members abt two weeks ago, and she asked me and others to do art for a few of the tracks with characters they were associated with. I wanted to share mine which was for the song that could be pulled by Lofi Girl and Guzma!

It's based off of Pokestars Studios by combining some of the movies that you can make in the game and especially the outfit Lofi Girl is wearing. Couldn't help but throw in a Dynamax reference as well.
