I believe if we stood face to face with Jesus saddened or discouraged in spirit because of something we are going through He’d say, “Look at Me, who was tempted at all points yet without sin, who loved you perfectly at every angle. Fix and set your desire upon Me. I make all things new.” And then He’d wipe the tears from our faces.

I don’t think He looks down on us for being confused, anxious or tired because He’s merciful but I also don’t believe that His will for us as children is to feel discouraged and defeated.

You’re a new creation but you’re getting to know what that looks like as you get to know Jesus, and now then you’d have to ask yourself are you choosing to get to know Him or not because that’s the first step to being transformed and walking in newness of life.
