with a reluctant groan thea lets the vase slide out of her hand,  shattering onto the hardwood floor.  she looks at her mother with an irritated look and crosses the room to glance at another useless item.  ‘  it’s not about what we need.  we take half of their shit,  no matter what it is.  ’

     sherry was well aware of how everyone looked at her, the whispers that followed both her & dwight as they continued to live once more in the community they had knowingly not only left; but stolen from.  ( a big no. )   despite the discrepancies, they were able to make their way back into this world, restart their lives — even if that meant no longer being a part of each-other’s. the new arrangements still left of adjustment on her end, which sherry soothed with walks around the complex. bumping into another with a less than pleasurable greeting only elicited an eye-roll from the brunette. one would assume others would be nothing short of pleasant when interacting with her, based on who she slept next to each night. 

     ❛  you know, it’s customary to greet others with a simple ‘hello.’ and i also think what i do or where i go doesn’t concern you much, or am i wrong there?  ❜

     thea couldn’t help but give the woman a glare,  not even bothering to hide her distaste.  she was never one to hide her anger or hatred for people and when it came to those who had once tried to run,  the brunette had no sympathy for them in her cold heart.  it didn’t help that sherry was closer with negan than she liked,  especially in the sexual way.  they were weak, sherry and dwight.  why would a woman who tried to run from the saviors be standing where they kept their prisoners?

    ❛  as if you’d be so lucky to receive a simple hello from me.  i can play nice in front of others but it’s clear i don’t like you,  so why pretend?  maybe not,  but let me remind you not to do anything the saviors will make you regret. ❜

she can’t help the genuine smile that appears across her lips as she looks down at the brand new weapon in her hands.  just the thought of negan thinking about her as he found the item makes her giddy and despite whatever had been in the box,  she would have been happy.  she is happy.  part of her wishes her mother was in the room to see so she could rub it in her face,  but they’re alone  —  a luxury thea doesn’t get often.  the brunette basks in the moment,  one of the best days in a long time.  theodora glances up at her leader and nods at him,  lifting the new knife in her hand.  “  thank you,  negan,  i’m honored you considered getting me a gift at all.  i’ll certainly have a gift for you within a couple days,  i just wanted to get you something absolutely perfect.  ”  she swings the weapon around,  admiring the sharpness of the blade.  “  i’ll be sure to get your name engraved on the handle. ”
