One year with my Nexus S
One year ago I've had my 3GS for two years and started to feel slow and unresponsive. I strongly felt the urge to buy a new phone but at that time I hadn't the money to buy a iPhone 4s so I bought an Nexus S instead. So my gadget hunger was set and I became friends with my Nexus over the 12 months. I was still using my 3GS as an iPod Touch basically and this was a good compromise for me. But after half a year I left my 3GS in the cab so I had to use my Nexus for everything. I purchased doubletwist as an replacement for the Music App on iOS and some other stuff. I wasn't perfectly happy with everything but I liked my Nexus and got along quite well.
But I kinda knew all the time, that if the new iPhone will come out I probably will switch back to iOS on my phone. So last week I ordered a iPhone 5 and it will arrive on Monday. I'll sell my Nexus to a friend and today I was asking myself what features I'm gonna miss on my iPhone:
Miss:
- Öffi Stations. Before I take the bus I always check the live departure times on the dashboard widget.
- Dashboard widgets in general
- Nice google account integration
Don't miss:
- Physical back button. I hate that thing, the reaction is not consistent at all.
- The keyboard. I still hate typing on it because I hit the back button all the time if I want to hit the space bar.
