i dont want to derail from op's original point, but there have been a lot of wonderful reccs on this post, and i DO think we as a community need to do more to uplift trans men/transmasc musicians instead of stereotyping all transmasc musicians as "cringy". so, i sat down and went through every comment, tag, and reblog on this post (at least, all of the ones that are visible to me) and compiled a list, and i included some of my own favorites that i didnt see mentioned!

I’ve wanted a 5th member of the redemption arc team for a while, Diode’s long lost friend and temporary member until the team gets downsized back to only 3 people. I’ve considered a lot of possibilities. I wasn’t expecting “Anastasia Selkie” to be the winner, but I think she might be.

It does bug me how much TADC fanart is the fucking frog girl comforting Jax. That girl was driven to metaphorical suicide because Jax pushed her out of social interactions. Yet I’ve never seen anyone depict Jax comforting her, let alone allowing the frog to be upset with her. Like I’m not gonna tag this I don’t want all the TADC critical people in my notes, I fundamentally agree with the sentiment that TADC is about forgiveness offered despite everything and I think that’s something those two could have eventually but it’s always just an implied instant “I forgive you for isolating me from everyone until that put me into a torturous death-like state.”
