How long have you been in the Bonkers fandom? :P

Many years! As a child my family has a LOT of VHS tapes, some of which had episodes of it, and that's how I discovered it! (My mom had me at 21)

{{Side note: I love the little details they put in this show when it’s at its best. Like, little reminders that Bonkers (and a lot of other toons) are very precariously living on the poverty line or under it, without outright stating it. Such as his making a bet with Lucky with his “lunch” as a reward, and it’s just two slices of bread with whip cream sandwiched between them because he “ran out of ketchup”.

It’s one of those things where to most kids it probably just seemed like a really wacky toon thing, but for those of us who grew up poor and/or with poor friends, it’s like “Oh…you, too?”

It’s also nice when they managed to slip in little nods to toons as allegory for minority figures. I’m not going to claim the show ever went deep with those because it was still 90′s Disney, so it didn’t, but it was good to see they still tried to carry that over from Who Framed Roger Rabbit. And once in a blue moon you just get an episode that’s like “Okay how many jokes and japes to we have to pile on top of these racial profiling allegories before we can get it past the Disney censers?”}}
