Does anyone else get the impression that the overall social media age regression community is very whitewashed? Plus I feel like a lot of white age regressors on here use their regression as a means of deflecting criticism when their racist actions are called out, because they're still very much under the belief that their white feelings and comfort matter more than the lives and safety of the people of colour that they share a community with.

Just a passing thought.

I feel like eventually, preferably sooner than later, we're going to have to start having some serious talks about the way in which racist ideology is prevalent in the age regression community, because so long as we're going to have ignorant white people in the community who don't do the work to become anti-racist, we're also going to continue to have a racism problem.

Too often do I see people on the subreddit asking if they're valid for being black, indigenous, or a person of colour in the age regression community - and of course the large amounts of people basing their self-worth on the validation of others is another major problem in the community that should also be addressed - these posts paint a stark picture of the age regression community that shows just how whitewashed it's become. This is despite the fact that mental health problems disproportionately affect people of colour much more than white people, and especially when the amount of Adverse Childhood Experiences increases in children of colour.

I know we're a community based around acting like children as a coping mechanism and symptom of mental illness, but I think we can all afford to take on the responsibilities of making sure that the community is safe for and accessible to everyone. Frankly, using age regression as a means of getting out of this responsibility is horrifically irresponsible, and shows a complete lack of care or empathy for your fellow community members.

We're a community about finding comfort in living with mental illness and trauma, but that doesn't mean it's at all sustainable to live the rest of your life in this comfort and never coming out of it, even if it means helping the people around you.

Hi!

I just wanted to address my name change. I changed my name to “tothemoonandback” because I felt like my previous username didn’t fit anymore.

I would also prefer it if people would call me Moon instead of Kit from now on.

These changes definitely makes me feel better, more confident, and comfortable, which I suppose is the only thing that matters.

Look, I’ve been reading fic on the internet practically for about 25 years, and I have encountered many a fic I would murder several first borns to know what happens next.

I also -unfortunately- am also responsible for a few unfinished fics out there, but I want you to hear me loud and clear:

I’m just working on other shit like trying to be a person, you know.

But it’s very simple: if you want to know what happens next in anything I have up, unfinished:

I actually have shit written, I have outlines, I have hundreds of thousands of words stuck inside me I will vomit all over a person if even marginally asked.
