Tottenham vs Wolves, why Mick McCarthy (Wolves coach) thinks they can take 3 points from The Lane.

Our last encounter with the Wanderers was a 2 - 0 win at their home. The goals came in the second half and near the end. The game was even in attacks till then. 

So if we were able to beat them 2-0 at their stadium, why would Mccarthy believe he can come away with points from White Hart Lane?

Because of statistic. Since he took over Wolves 2 years ago. He has faced arry 5 times of those 5 matches 2 have been wins for Spurs, 2 for Wolves and 1 tie. You can not get any more even than that. 

He has recognized Spurs to be a contender to the tittle. He saw us against Everton, a strong well put together team. We dominated and conquered. 

I believe MacCarthy thinks that if he can hold off enough without any against goal. We will lose control and either concede a goal or end up scoreless. He is most likely to use the same strategy as Everton against us. Try to defend and use counter attack to sneak one up.

He might not be wrong. We are missing our starting center defender and two great mid. Yet for him to believe that we will not score is a huge risk in his part. We will have lenon, modric, bale, van, and ady. Come on! 

Harry must likely will repeat from Wed, maybe with just Defoe instead of Van. Only because Van is prone to injuries and next week game is not for the weak hearted. 

Regardless of what statistics say. We don't have any key players leaving, our starting line up for the game is focus and hungry to repeat wed performance. There are no new players added to the squat, which can affect game flow. 

We are strong everywhere and its the fucking Lane, we haven't lost since last year and we are not about to start tomorrow. 

Anything but a win is expected.

I believe final score will be 3-1. the reason for their score will be walker or ekotto flying on the flanks, then they will understand they can't be doing that shit all day and pull back allowing Modric to conduct our attack. As long as we keep pushing forward we will dominate.

The players we really need in January and the ones that we don't.

After yesterday's win over Everton. It is clear that we have almost reach our main goal for the season, a champions spot. We are currently 8 points ahead of Chelsea and 9 over you freaking Arsenal.

Wasn't there a player that was really running his mouth in twitter, right after we beat them? 

Arsenal is another topic for a different day. I can't  wait for that post. 

Going back. It is very unlikely that we would lose 8 points and that Chelsea wont drop any. This is why I believe we are more then half way into the champions and now we can turn our heads towards the dream season for all of us.

There is no doubt we need reinforcements in the back. We have lost Gallas, and King. Dawson just got back and still needs a few games to get back in full form. He wasn't challenged at all in his last 2 return games. Walker is good but I believe has too much of the mentality of Bale. He would like to follow his path. Bale started in the back, moved to mid and now is playing CAM. I am not suggesting a replacement for him. I am making the point that we need a good strong middle for when he runs the flanks and leaves an opening for counter attacks. Ekotto is better and better as I see him play. More secure and reliable. 

That leaves the question. If our ideal squat is Walker, Dawson, King, Ekotto. Keeping Gallas as our permanent back up for King since he can hardly play consistently. Kabul is our choice after Gallas. 

We have 2 first team defenders out. King and Gallas. Kabul is good but I don't believe he has the experience to handle big games without making mistakes. He hasn't created major mistakes but if you look closely to the games he is usually the weakest link in the back.

We need a deeper defensive back.

We are still working on securing our champions spot but more importantly we are moving towards a League title challenge against two giants. Manchester United and Manchester City. 

We demonstrated that we have a team to be reckon with against Everton. Even without Parker, Sandro, Gallas, and King we still manage a comfortable win. Not to forget it was Everton (not their best season) and it was at The Lane. I am not taking anything away from the win. I am just looking past yesterdays win. 

Harry knows that to not drop points and really move up, we a strong back against Man U, Man C, Arcenal, Chelsea, and  Liverpool.

Samba would be a perfect fit and if we get rid of Bassong even better. He is in the "I don't want to be here anymore club" Gio and Pavlyuchenko also members.  

Moving onto the middle. 

I believe we are solid and the middle is so important to the development of a good game that bringing in a new player even if its Kaka (there were some rumors) will disrupt our flow specially this far into the season. 

That leaves the front.

Do we need a new striker? 

Lets take a look 

Adebayour. On loan, which basically means he might leave at the end of the season. It's still very unclear specially if City really get chased by us. Why would they help their rivals?

Van Der Vart. Great since he joined. Prone to injuries. 

Defoe. No doubt, world class player. It seems he does better as a sub then as a starter. 

Pavlyuchenko. Wants to leave, not consistent and when he plays it looks like its the first time he plays with these players. Its been 3 years!

Dos Santos. Good player, but he gets little to no pitch time. He is still very young and because he does so well with his national team he won't be happy on the bench for another season

It comes down to this. 5 strikers. out of those 2 want to leave, 1 might leave, and 1 is more of a very high mid player. For next season we might just end up with Defoe and Van. 

This is inconceivable, we need a striker and we need a good one. Lets get rid of Gio and Pavly. Lets try to keep Ade, but we can not count on it. 

Mr Levy and Harry:

Sell: Bassong, Giovani and Pavlyuchenko. 

Use the money you get from all of them and get a world class striker. Don't get Ba.

Get Samba out of pocket. Its expensive to be top 3 but you will earn more next season.

First game (Everton) of the 2011 season Played on 1/11/12?

The story goes back a couple of months. The month of August to be exact. The London riots were creating chaos and our first Premiership game was postponed, until, today! 

A huge victory against Everton, two - zero to be exact. The team looked good, very good in fact. We controlled most of the pitch, created very good chances and more important we scored. 

I am sure you have had heard how important this game was "this is the game that decided the season" I heard a couple of times. Is it true? 

Was this the game that really meant title race or no title race? 

The answer; No

Even with the lost of the 3 points we would've sit 3 behind Man United and 6 behind Man City. Man U is strong as always but are more fragile this season then last. The main reason is a lack of consistency in their players. He has lost his captain to injury and the his squat can be on or off depending on the game. perfect examples of both :Black Burn and Man City last game. Also as you know Sir Alex is not a big spender, he is set in his ways. Who can blame him? He is without a great coach. Regardless his innability to risk on a new player will be what keeps weakening them. I do mean weaken, not destroy or drop below 3rd place. My point is that Man U will drop more points. That's why a lost against Everton would not have been the end for title. 

Of course we WON! 

This means 2nd place for now along with Man U. 

The real test for the title will come Sunday Jan 22 against Manchester City, for a couple of reasons. For starters, rematch from our first encounter this season. Second a positive result will create a hunger for the title within the players, Harry and all of us. The same hunger that Man U and City currently have. 

What if we win?

It will create the most exciting season for us. A triple tie at the top of the league (given Man U wins)

What if we tie?

Great result for us and  we will become Man U BFFs (for a week). 

What if we lose?

Not the end of the world, it will really depend how we lose. If its anything like our last game with them. We will be crushed and it might hurt team moral. If we lose by a small margin or a mistake. It will just remind us that if we are to be at the top games like this cannot happen. 

We have collected more points in the last 18 games then United or City. After 18 games it cannot be luck anymore and if it is luck then we might just have "Champions Luck" 

Second place is never by chance, specially in the Premiership and after 20 games.
