Attempting to announce tournaments before they start

I created this blog after I missed too many fun tournaments because they are announced all over the place. This blog attempts to centralise them. Icon by juicy_fish on Freepik
Do you also have the problem that you only come across fun tournaments once they've reached the semi-finals or worse? Or that you have the perfect candidate to submit but the submission period closed 3 months ago? I made this blog to try and fix that problem.
The idea is that tournament runners only have to tag this blog, so that I can reblog their announcement post, to gain traction and that tournament enjoyers only have to follow this blog to see all the new tournament announcements.
If you have a tournament idea and want to know if it has been done yet, or if you want to find tournaments that have started longer ago, @tournamentdirectory is the better place for you.

- Quotes must be said by 1 person. Dialogues don't count.
- Quotes should be short enough to fit into one picture, so max one manga page (shorter is fine too). If it's a short quote but on two separate pages (but still like 2 or 3 panels), I'll allow it too. (they could be cut and pasted into one picture for poll purposes). This isn't set in stone; just don't make it too long.
- Obviously, quotes must be from One Piece, manga, anime, or live action. Movie/fillers/novels count, but will probably not be very popular 😅 Games don't count.
- Nothing from past the Egghead arc! I have finished that arc but haven't started on the next one yet, so please keep this in mind. I don't want to be spoiled, especially not on emotional things.
- You can submit multiple quotes, but don't submit the same quote more than once.
- What counts as emotional is up to you!

I don't have a closing date for this yet. It entirely depends on how many submissions I get and how much time I have to work on this tournament. I also don't know yet how many quotes I'll allow. Ideally, I'm thinking of 32, but if submissions stay behind or are more than I expect, it might be less or more than that.

The BHT International Spectacular Is Open For Submissions!
Welcome! Bienvenidos! Wilkommen! Huānyíng! Wamkelekile! Whatever other language you can say "welcome" in! It's time for the BHT International Spectacular, a celebration of all the countries around the world who are long overdue for some recognition on this blog. We get droves of American and English representation here at billboard-hotties-tourney, but now it's time for the rest of the world to have their shining hour, and we'll see which nation's favorite vintage artist will reign supreme.
Here's how it's gonna go down, and bear with me because I know it'll be a long process: You, the submitter, will send in a country name and an artist from that country. If you like, you can include some links to songs of theirs for inclusion in the tournament, and you can mention if they're from your country as well! (Leave it blank if you want to keep it to yourself, that's fine!) If more than one artist is submitted for a country, every submission from that country will be put into a poll at a later date and the people of Tumblr will vote on which artist should represent the nation in question.
After the submissions have closed, we'll put the competitors in a standard bracket (even numbers permitting) like you've seen before...until we get to the top 16. That's when we start ranking countries number by number. Each week, you, the voters, will select the country (and their artist) that should be eliminated from the remaining list--ie, the one whose music you like the least. This will happen until we decide Tumblr's favorite nation for vintage music!

There will probably be quite a few edits as people ask questions, so stay tuned and please exercise patience. I'm very excited to see what artists and countries get highlighted! Happy travelling.
