If you were Solas first, who are you now?
The same.
A friend alerted me. You have people who love you Solas. There are people waiting for your return and not in the place you think. I regret that you've chosen this path again. I wish I'd had more time to speak with you. I hope your Inquisitor can change your mind. I hope you can be happy.
She will try.
Please don't leave too soon? I have so much to ask you. I... enjoy your presence when you're around. It makes my day.
You forgive and forget all too easily, my friend.
I am here now.
I apologize for my anger, vhenan. You have been a good friend, and I will miss you dearly when you leave us.
I cannot fault you for it. …Thank you.
When the sky completely turned green
Have you tried despair? I hear it's worse than ham.
…
And I really must ask, ma lath. What would Wisdom think of your actions? You respected them and their opinions. Cherished their insight. What would they make of this?
She knew.
Ma lath, I know what you plan. I know you have lied. You are a danger to this world and everything I hold dear. My question is this; you came into my life and showed me the beauty in this world, a world I never once cared for, and then you damn it? Declare it unfit? Why? And... my feelings aside... who the hell are you to choose the fate of this world? You are a MAN, Fen'Harel... Albeit an arrogant one. A would-be God and a liar. You must see that you have become everything you claimed to hate.
You would not think it so easy to stand idly by if you had the power to save your world.
There is no choice. I do what must be done.
If you could change anything about your appearance, what would you change?
That is not what I would change.
Do not allow yourself to be blinded by your goal Solas, no good will come to you if you allow yourself to walk blindly to your own death.
Din nadas.
have you seen this?? unseeliequeens [.] tumblr [.] com /post/157471173875/ my-nayme-is-pride-and-in-the-fayd-i-wear-wolf - more importantly, is it accurate?
No.
You've been a great friend Solas. If I had lived another life, in your world, I can barely imagine how much closer we would have gotten. Thank you so much, for always listening, and offering advice. For always being here for me, for us. I hope you stay here, because I love to see your responses to everyone. Your wit is unmatched, and your snark is funnier than anyone else's. Thank you for being so unconditional in your care. You are so unique, and so brilliant. Thank you, for everything, falon.
Even now, you must prove me wrong.

That is one perspective, yes.
....M–may I please touch your head? It's just so wonderfully fulgent.
….No. But I appreciate that you asked.
As a mage, and someone inherently susceptible to demons, how do you fight off despair? I find that it dogs me more than the others, and at times it can be difficult to avoid giving in.
Avoiding possession is a matter of will, focus, and understanding. Although I suspect the demon that plagues you is more metaphorical than literal. Despair of both kinds has many tricks, and as with any trick, closer examination greatly undermines their power.
First, it blinds you to all evidence that does not suit its narrative. It whispers tales in your ear, points out every doubt you might have and wreathes them in flame. It casts its long shadow over every moment of joy, dulling the light that you might have found, numbing you to it until all you see and feel is sadness upon which it feeds.
Second, now that it has weakened you, it turns your focus inward, forcing you to live in stark awareness of your every imagined flaw until the simplest actions become unbearable. And with that new helplessness it isolates you within a prison of self-doubt and fear. It leaves you unable to reach your friends, or to try and understand your enemies. Without other voices to provide balance, Despair is all that remains. That is when it is strongest.
Knowing Despair’s tricks, however, is but one half of the fight. The other is knowing yourself. Learn to be aware of how it clouds your vision, and how to take its darker shades into account when considering your situation. Learn how to combat it by listening to other trusted voices, even when sinking further into its grip seems like your only choice. Training your self-awareness is key. It is your greatest defense against such an insidious enemy.
Will it be different this time? Or will the past repeat itself as it always does?
I cannot know. There is only one certainty, and it is the same for all men, regardless of the path they choose.
