The words erupted from my lips. A deep , unconscious desire quickly overruled my composure of social queues. I couldn't believe what I had just blurted out. I didnt know how she was going to react... I was frozen by my idiotic response, but was reluctantly anticipating hers.
Oh!! Ugh.... A Date? Really? I dont think thats a great idea , my boyfriend might not like it but... I mean, there's absolutely no way your going to win. My legs are taller than you are! I guess it good sport i can give you a chance Ok..... Fine... a date... BUT.. if i win....You owe free coffee for a year! Ha ha ha.
I instantly squared off against her and lunged forward with all my might. I wrapped my arms around one of her legs, just like a dummy sled from practice. There was no possibility of winning in a 'fair' contest with her, not at this size, she was just... too big. She was fast, even back then, theres only one way to prevail.... sneak attack!!
My feeble attempt was successful! She was caught off guard and lost her balance. I quickly recovered from the stumble and exploded into action, and bee-lined it for the cart. I took 3 steps before I heard her fall to the ground behind me, feeling the tremble in my toes. It was off putting ,the realization of her sheer size... mmmm , kicking me into the next gear with such ferocity.
I heard her words fade into laughter. Its exactly the kind of thing she used to do me .. she just scoffed it off and started getting up.

My heart was about to burst out of my chest, I ran with all I had, pure adrenaline fueling me like a jet engine... knocking bystanders to the ground, calculating every.. single.. step. The road, the curb, the next step towards Victory!
I didn't dare look back. I didnt need to, i could hear her massive swift footsteps gaining on me, people yelling, cars honking.. but i didn't let of the commotion distract me. I had to win. I will never forget the barista's face, watching me run towards her at full speed, then her next expression of what I was being chased by....
My fingers just about touched the cart, accidentally slapping it so hard it stung my hand something fierce, as i dropped to my knees in absolute exhaustion.
I was grasping for air, laying on the sidewalk, every part of me burning... I muttered the words, suprised she could even understand me....

She laughed... not even out of breath , casually just standing there, looking down at me. With a sweet smile.
