...Verdania..?
@town-0f-greymoor
I am..here..
The caverns were nearly silent, save for some moments of gusts of wind blowing in. The hard floor lacked anything of life, and the small bits of plant that did exist had since been decayed into a ghostly white shell of its self.
The spirit’s grey and decaying form laid there, near the entrance of its territory. Her hair and dress had frayed and torn, her entire body translucent. However, that grey glowed with a tinge of a more lively green upon the voice rather familiar. Turning her head, she couldn’t believe the form in front of her.
G-Greymoor…?
I heard about your disappearance. Was that claim false? Am… Am I hallucinating? Can spirits such as I hallucinate?!
*They look upon Verdania's Decayung spirit, their..hidden hands twitch and squirm but he keeps that impulse down*
You look..faded, weaker..
*They move a littleee closer*
Please don't tell me you are fading...
Whether this was a hallucination or not, she responds the same. No other bug alive here to see them anyway…
Alas. The inevitable passage of Time has come to claim my soul, same as many others like me. I might see them before my time is up, but… I’m that I am too late…
I was going to lay damage to the Citadel while I had the energy… unfortunately, my fraying mind can only do so much… Without my people… without any mind, We are nothing.
Rest assured, O Moor, your land will surely be okay without me.
Verdania, a Once beautiful land...and spirit..
It pains my soul to watch you fade away, even when its inevitable..
Can i..atleast, stay a bit.
I know we've..had a rocky meetings..
But can i stay, to make the fading..less lonely..?
Hearing their soft voice, even their presence.. She has always been a little alone, despite the neighbors near her. They never talked to her, even before their downfall… until now. She glowed with an equally soft aura, more powerful than she had imagined.
Before she realized, she had already responded.
Of course, darling…
She… just blurted that out. Verdania had never accepted such company in so very long, and at this time, she looked like she desperately needed it. Her body retracted to a shorter length, cusping her knees with her own hidden hands.
I… Your Company, Greymoor… It… It makes me live. Hush whispers had kept me alive up until now, but nobody had communicated anything related to my presence anymore, and now I am kept away by the Citadel to rot.
Now… you’re here and I’m… grateful.
I don’t believe in such rocky meetings. You had simply met me at a very low and possibly last portion of my life. I was being too harsh at that time… I do hope you forgive me, Greymoor…
I must thank you for offering to stay here. It’s the least I can do…
She sees something in herself while she looks at Greymoor’s eyes. A chance for hope… and change. It may be a burden, but perhaps with their help, she… could live…? Such a possibility might occur.
*His black eyes, squint and sway around, but he tries to keep it down, could it be.. maybe if he stops enough about her past as..True verdania..back when they..we're just the whisp thicket, he can't even remember what he Orginally was called*
Thank you..for not pushing me away, Verdania..
...
*Sigh*
Its so faint and far but oh so near aswell, I faintly remember the old days, of lush green, of critters chirping happily..
I know..what i had said that..time ago, about me "allowing" The Citadel to..strip and shave me bare and construct this...suffocating town..
But its not suffocating, some parts of it may be, but..the little town, all the critters, they all have a life here, while i am sad that..I lost my true beauty, after so long of...hating how I looked, I began to, start to realize not all of the land is bad, the little tavern.. I have seen many a travelers stop by their, either to have a break, rest, or simply have something to drown out the noise...
*after a moment, he realizes he is rambling again*
Sorry, ..sorry I got lost in my thoughts for a moment there..heh..
**stupid, stupid..your supposed to be helping her, not mulling over your tragic past**
No worries. I love listening to other’s tales.
It is true, that bugs go around the area. You have this calming presence about the area that makes it a nice spot to relax in.
I learn now that I need to depend on others now more than ever… Depending on others may mot be as weak as I thought. It is proven time again, such as your people.
What I am trying to say, Greymoor, is that I am glad that you are alive.
Im Glad you are Alive too..
Your really the only spiritual company I get around here and..
I hope that me being here, talking to you, will prevent your beauty from fading away..
*he subconsciously placed a ghostly hand upon theirs, then realized, and quickly pulled away*
Her eyes locked onto Greymoor’s, and in the moment he complimented her beauty, she softly chuckled. She attempted to hide the fact that her cheeks were even blushing a soft yellow. A raggedy spirit like her attracting such a cute spirit like him…?
For the first time in a while, she reached a viney hand out to Greymoor, offering to hold her hand with his.
… I have to be honest once more, but I am unsure of my future… However, I know I am willing to spend my hope on a happy ending, with you.
*He looked at her, a bit surprised, then with a sigh, he entangled his hand with her, even through his torn cloak, he knew, that..as long as he stayed alive..so will she, but.. that was just a thought, not a single spirit would be able to keep her alive for very long*
*And.. thats what worried him*
I wish..i could do more, for you..
*he lightly grabbed her hand some more, firmly but not tightly*
I do not want you to fade..
*he placed his free hand on her cheek, a sadness in his sunken eyes*
...Verdania..?
