A new Flight of the Conchords video. I think this is a charity single. Still very entertaining. Just watch it, you won't regret it.

Adman, King of the Hoboes 2004—After college Adman opened up an advertising shop in St. Cloud, Minnesota. In 1972, his wife ran off with another guy, so he just walked away from everything. Adman hitchhiked up to Cheyenne, Wyoming, but got arrested. As soon as he got out he jumped on a train. That night he saw the most beautiful sunset he'd ever seen and thought to himself, "Fuck, I'm gonna do this forever."
Adman lives in a million dollar house in Minnesota. Riding trains is his hobby.
It would be awesome to get paid to make GIFs for MTV.
I have found some important information for you! The national Hobo Convention just took place in the town of Britt, Iowa. Here are a bunch of facts about Hobos (probably stuff you already knew; I'm fairly certain John Hodgman knows all of this, too...).
What do you do with your NYC metrocards after you've used them up or they've expired? Make playing cards out of them. Duh.
For a project I'm working on. Fucking republicans.
A 90s colouring book. Billed as being "The cool colouring-book for good colourer-inners (as well as beginners)". This is basically the shit. If it's not your thing, she's also got others of the 80s, the hip-hop scene, "Fashion", "Records", "Art", London, Kate (Moss), "ARRGGHHHH!!!!" (horror movies), Birds, and Ryan Gosling.
This guy plays the shelf. As in music. It's like the theremin (which he does actually also play as part of this clip) or Cabaret Hoover from Les Triplettes de Belleville (minus the weird dream sequence of Bruno the dog).
I think even better than the concept of this was how often I was excited to see the movies that were used. You should watch it. I think you'll enjoy it immensely.
Apparently Donna D'errico was searching for Noah's Ark in Turkey and "broke her face"...? I don't really know. Just click the link.
Click on this picture for the entire collection. It's a group of book (and magazine) covers from The Royal Tenenbaums. I know you want to. You know you want to. Just do it.
The magic school bus is real!!
I got to this from a link on a twitter account I follow "Letters of Note". It's a blog entry about this woman who was pen pals with John Hughes as a teenager. It's truly great. If you're a fan of his or of the 80s or any of that, you have to read this. It's a better story and insight into him and his life and all that than that disappointing documentary from a couple of years ago. I think she went about the right way to get him to open up. Those kids didn't know what they were doing.
I'm not sure where from or how this set came about (though I guess it makes sense given he's the POTUS and closely followed by the press at all times), but here's a curated set of 52 photos of president Obama eating or drinking things.
Sorry, this one is probably better (more awesome)...
So I'm still not sure on what's happening here, but I used to live in DC and you did too. Teddy Roosevelt has never won a race at a Nationals game. This time he got tackled by a pierogi that was out there as well. I dunno, I'm going to try to find out more.
UPDATE—my starting research has already turned this up: Apparently there's a similar thing in Pittsburgh (though they were playing against Philadelphia... Go figure) like the Presidents Race, only it's pierogi(s).
This spent the weekend in the pocket of the pants, thus the obscured nature of the image, but this was drawn by my co-worker at Oligarchy Supermarket. It's called "Vac(c)uum Horse". I only just noticed the phallic nature of its on/off switch. I also like the scale of the people in the drawing.
The next (August) edition of guess the band by their literal logo.
