welcome! this is just a silly account kinda inspired by a monkees account that i follow on twitter. i'll just be posting silly fictional "news" about tom petty and the heartbreakers. i think i'll try to post at least once daily. i just want to make it clear that this is not actual news about the band lest anyone believes something that i completely made up here.

i have finals coming up and i gotta lock in and study for those and i've been busy with assignments but hopefully i can get back to regularly posting after next wednesday. that's why i haven't been posting much lately
tom has been quietly sneaking into benmont's room while he's not paying attention and jumpscaring him
the others put tom in the dryer and he shrunk 💔💔💔 at least he got out of the Chinese finger trap
BREAKING!!!! Musician Tom Petty reportedly put his fingers in a Chinese finger trap and has been stuck for the past 5 hours
tom has been blasting let it go from frozen lately. he says it's an "interesting composition." benmont is sick and tired of it
to prove that they're not delusional, ron and benmont have convinced the other three to stay up with them and keep watch for UFOs. it's 2 am and so far, none have been spotted
benmont is convinced he saw a ufo last night. the others think he's having more of those sleep deprived hallucinations again but actually, ron thinks he saw it too 😱😱😱 they're now having a very serious debate on whether aliens (the ones you think of when you hear the word "alien") exist
stan just came home with 25 gallons of milk. upon being questioned, he said that he thought he needed to get 5 gallons per member, so he got 25. benmont genuinely started tweaking; he had meant for stan to get 5 gallons in total, not per person
tom's reading a book right now and he really hates it. he keeps tossing it down every 10 minutes to go rant about how awful it is before going back to reading
someone recently introduced tom to kpop. he's currently listening to twice and nodding like he's impressed
tom just got asked what his plans for tomorrow are. he's trying to look nonchalant and act like he's actually coming up with a thoughtful answer but really he's thinking about going home and "borrowing" one of mike's guitars for a new track
julius caesar appeared in tom’s dreams and gave him a strange message. he told him to tell his record company to beware the ides of march
ron tripped and fell on the very last step of the stairs and acted like he fell down the entire thing. in public btw. benmont turned away and pretended like he didn’t know him
mike is playing music for the plants and animals. a group of bunnies and squirrels have gathered around him. he’s like a disney princess
