all this time i thought eddie’s drive from boston up to derry was super long, like i was thinking AT LEAST seven hours or something but we did it on saturday from north reading up to bangor and it’s only like 3 hours and 45 minutes ?? i do the 4 and a half hour drive from miami to tampa at least twice a month?? that’s NOTHING

there’s this building in the mount hope cemetery in bangor that they used before mortuary fridges were invented where they’d keep the people who died during the winter in there so the body would freeze and preserve until the ground was soft enough to bury them and all i’m saying is that’s a PERFECT place for pennywise to fuck around in like C’MON

mount hope cemetery in bangor/derry is never really mentioned in IT ( as far as i can remember but it’s been a few months since i’ve read it ) but it’s a really interesting place because it was literally built with the intention of people going there to spend prolonged periods of time with their departed loved ones and have picnics on the ground and enjoy the view

anyway u can bet eddie’s father is buried there, and when eddie was younger ( after he recovered from bronchitis ) his mom would make him go there on his dad’s birthday to pay their respects, and then in high school ( in the verse where nobody moves away after they defeat IT the first time and everything is good and happy ) it’s a popular place to hang out during mild spring and summer days and since eddie’s been there so often growing up it doesn’t really creep him out at all
