Jensen jokes that Jared was having his hair done when the SNS concert was going on.
Jared explains he wasn’t at the concert because he was with his sister, who was recently engaged.
Jensen calls Jared electric, Jared ‘gently strokes Jensen’s arm.’
Sound system is having some problems - sound guy is stuck in traffic - and J2 are joking.
Jared says that Jensen did a great job directing 11x03 :)
Jared says they had a guest start named Jared. They nicknamed him OJ for “other Jared” lol. Says OJ saw Jared’s phone and the amount of unread emails and was gobsmacked. Also on phone was first ever Chicon schedule. Wishes the fandom a happy Chicon anniversary.
Jensen says that Jared’s voicemail message is way back from summer. Jensen grabs Jared’s phone and says “this is happening.”
Jensen is changing Jared’s outgoing voicemail because it’s so old.
Jared has 74 voicemails. Jensen is reading off who they’re from - agent, wife, your brother…
Jensen calls for silence as Jared records a new voicemail greeting.
Jared’s new voicemail greeting included “and friends” and the audience cheering :)
Full voicemail: “Hey, you’ve reached Jared, and friends *audience cheers* leave a message.”
Jensen likes to hear how the show has affected the fans’ lives.
Microphone starts going wonky again. Fans: Blame the musk!
Fan asks how J2 want the world to end. Jared: A big, happy party. Jensen: Peacefully and quickly.
Jared: If/when I die, if you’re at my funeral, make sure you’re having a good time.
Jensen: If the opportunity presented itself for he and Christian Kane to sing together, he’d do it. Kane is very busy and it’s a matter of schedules.
Jared is as touched by us as we are by him. Jared: We’ve been as touched by you. It’s reciprocal.
Jensen says they still look at each other and go, “How did this happen?” Says cons are a filling station of inspiration. Jared says that it’s through the fans that they find out what it all really means. Jensen: This is us out on tour with the people we make this art for. We thank you.
Asked if anything supernatural has happened to them off set. Jared tells the story about the haunted hotel where he and Gen went on a date night. Jensen talks about being home along and hearing a door open and close but no one was there. Jensen: “I may not be a ghost hunter in real life, but I’ve got almost ten years of experience so your move.”
Jared (at the end of the hotel story) I put on the TV and there’s Jensen! Jensen: Best part of his day.
On Sam and Dean: Jensen continues to play the big brother. Is as close to a father figure as he’ll ever be. Not paternal towards Sam - it’s a partnership they have not a dictatorship.
Jensen says Dean allowed that father space in his own life to remain empty. Not needed for him anymore.
Fans are yelling out reasons why they should be picked for questions. Jensen: I heard gynecology back there!
Advice for aspiring actors? Jared talks about the enjoyment of story telling. Crying fan: I’m so happy right now. Jared says you don’t need to run to LA to act. Fan thanked him for helping with her anxiety.
Fav obstacle at Tough Mudder? Jared’s was the Everest one. Jensen’s was a ring and peg board thing they had to climb. Like Ninja Warrior.
Jensen was daunted by the ring pegboard because a big, muscled guy fell after getting a couple feet up but it ended up being a piece of cake.
Jensen explains how they had to hoist Jason Manns up. Jason ended up on his shoulders in cleated shoes and then jumped from Jensen’s shoulders.
Osric blew his knee out and J2 took turns carrying him. They joke that Richard just wanted to drag him.
Jensen says they’re gonna try to get a bigger group together next year for Tough Mudder. Fans volunteer Kim Rhodes.
