things that mess me up: the fact ivar is closer to an actual god than a human. that in terms of simple divinity and power he was a success, more of a success than any of the project officials would be willing to admit, more than the founder would ever want to acknowledge. don’t even mention the fact he’s the only child of the project to achieve ascension ( at least until post - canon ), something that only further proves he could very well become a higher being for humans to worship. the only reason he’d never be seen as a success is due to his strong defiance against humans and the divine alike. ivar absolutely refused to become a puppet of the project, to become an object of admiration, to become anything other than what he currently is. he’s a stubborn rogue god who has been abused and mistreated for not bending himself to the wills of humanity, yet he’d still prefer to be the way he is now than anything else.

FAVOURITE MUSE(S) YOU’VE WRITTEN: my messiah kids tbh. really any of my ocs in general but, i really enjoy writing either ivar or mary. they’re both some of my most challenging muses ( hence their nickname dreadful unholy duo ) given they....aren’t exactly the most social. mary’s reasoning is thanks to mostly being intolerable to those they view as lower than them while ivar’s asocial behavior is thanks to his inability to really talk. i also just really enjoy developing them from simple little habits to how their upbringing and forced upon divinity has molded their psyche into what it is.

WHAT INSPIRED YOU TO TAKE ON YOUR CURRENT MUSE (THAT YOU ARE POSTING THIS ON): i had gone from hyperfixating upon mary to ivar and just caved in really. i’d also never played a muse like ivar before and thought it’d be an interesting challenge. ivar has a hard time with not only expressing any sort of emotion but isn’t exactly the most quickest to empathize with others ( though such traits are pretty common among a Lot of his canon’s characters ), and i also just thought it’d be interesting to write a character who relies more so on action than words.

WHAT ARE YOUR FAVOURITE ASPECTS OF YOUR CURRENT MUSE: as much as i complain about it, i like the way he expresses himself with words. they’re usually very simple, sometimes barely even passing three words, and one can think he may be joking but i do enjoy his speech pattern. i also enjoy the way he doesn’t let whats happened to him dog him down. he’s gone through a lot what with having gone from a regular human kid to a science experiment to some human made god ( and that’s excluding the amount of times he’s been forcibly harmed to ‘ better ‘ himself and his abandonment by his makers and all that jazz ), it’s obviously left him with a buttload of scars both physical and mental as well as trust issues, but he still tries to act as normal as he can. he even still does his job of protecting humans despite what they did to him + how they now treat him. ivar is just a Good Boy who is very sleepy and i wanna give him ten thousand hugs i’m so sorry for giving you all this baggage my son.

WHAT’S YOUR BIGGEST INSPIRATION WHEN IT COMES TO WRITING: music. also films / video games. music usually helps the most. when it comes to this particular muse ( and a lot of my religious based ocs in general ) i find the ange.ls and de.mons soundtrack to be one i listen to a lot. also certain songs by mr. kitty and 80′s/90′s rock. for movies i watch a lot of religious horror films. video games is an odd mix of bloo.dborne, fina.l fant.asy typ.e 0 and ni.er automat.a. the first one is the general aesthetic while the last two are due it’s utter brutality of it’s main characters. istg no one dies in messiah kids. save the bad guy and maybe mary.

FAVOURITE TYPES OF THREADS: stuff with character development, occasionally plotted stuff, lowkey angst, soft familial fluffy stuff is good too.

BIGGEST STRUGGLE IN REGARDS TO YOUR CURRENT MUSE: he can’t talk :^)))) i know i said i wanted a challenge but it was so much harder than i thought. do you know how long i spend on just writing his dialogue ??? way longer than i’ve ever done. i have to try repeating it without moving my tongue and lemme tell ya i knew you speak a lot with your tongue, i just didn’t think it was That Much. aside from him lacking the ability to properly speak though, not much else. i’ve always sort of written my characters thoughts along with body language, though probably not as much as i do when writing here, so other than that i really enjoy writing ivar.
