Name: Vasar Brooket.
Species: Zabrak
Game: Star Wars Saga
Setting: Shortly after Kotor 2 as the Jedi Order begins to rebuild.
Personal log 21 (B): its complicated.
Spent some time cleaning up after the last mission, the damn toxin that Hexilon uses sticks to the skin like tar pretty sure there is still a slight stain even after scrubbing the skin raw.
Felt a sudden wave of hope, I'm pretty sure from Rekha. I assume her brother is doing well. Will need to check in later.
Got around to drawing Vazar's Saber.
Wood body with a leather wrapped grip and inlayed with gold relief somewhat a call to Zabrak tattoos.
Personal Log 21 (A):
The trip back to the temple was mostly without incident.
J3 did eventually help me deal with the parallelization issue, Rekha spent some time healing, Brodhe has situated himself onto bench in the dinning area and just seems to be checked out of reality for a bit. which without knowing exactly what he went through makes sense. Shikkar is also unresponsive has not eaten any food provided. I figure its probably best not to press the issue.
For my part I've been restless, I should probably mediate but every attempt leaves me replaying what happened in the holding cells. the feeling of powerlessness and rage boiling just under the surface. The last time I felt like this was with Lucian.
Personal Log #20: May you have the Shikkar you deserve.
We arrived back at the Temple we where met by a couple of the Masters, since we had come back without Brodhe or the Holocron they assumed that things hadn't gone well. A terse confirmation and simple explanation that now Hex had Brodhe and had escaped us.
There was going to be a more formal debriefing once all the console was ready but for a short time we had a moment to collect ourselves, Personally I went to the work shop to keep myself busy as it was, I afraid if I let myself pause to long I would stew in my anger more than I already had been.
I had a thought at work today that I though would fit this better.
Happy Pride Month with an Old Republic flair!
Happy Pride Month everyone
Personal log 19: At least there wasn't a leviathan.
It felt as if time was of the essence. So we made our way to Ithor immediately not much conversation was had as we mostly spent our times mediating and preparing for what we would find.
Personal log (supplemental): 18 b.
After the events at the meditation chamber the three of us took some time to rest and recuperate. As has been my habit of late I went to the workshop to work on repairing whatever I could in the endless supply of gadgets that had broken or needed to be maintained in one shape or another.
Personal Log #18: Have you tried the phone book?
The loss of the Sith Holocron is alarming, both the potential danger of what knowledge it may possess and that the Temple was so easily breached.
For our part the Masters wanted to track down the holocron or at least garner what might be in it. Rekha's brother having been the last user of it seemed like the best option for that and while she wasn't thrilled with the idea agreed to try and use the force to find him.
Personal log #17. Break-in.
The rumblings of a distant explosion shook the trial room and at once everyone rushed out and up the long spiraling staircase back to the main temple floors.
The Masters where on the com-links it sounded as if the source of the explosion had started at or near the vault. when we arrived there was still a cloud of dust and debris filling the air and the two jedi that had been posted as security where on the ground choking, it was hard to tell if it was just from the dust or if some chemical agent was at work.
Instinctively I pushed out with the force, normally in a way that would move large objects with ease but this time the focus was on the air and dust while trying to not actually push around the guards already having a bad time as it was. It seemed to work as they where able to start pulling themselves together as we rushed past them into the vault.
A massive hole had been punched through the vault wall and past several rooms past that into a hallway of an unused part of the temple and a figure could be seen just darting around the corner. One of the Masters shouted that the Sith Holocron was missing and Shikkar bolted forward after the thief.
Personal log #16: A dream achieved and looming shadow grows.
The Jedi Counsel summoned us early in the morning. They believe we have progressed far enough in training and recent missions to be acknowledged as Jedi Knights with one final test.
We were brought to a chamber with a scattering of pillars rising several meters into the air and above that a collection of chains hanging down from the ceiling, on three of the chains red ribbons. The task itself was simple, Grab the ribbons.
Shikkar was the first to leap into action wrapping a cloth around the pillar and using that to help climb up, it was a clever idea so I followed suit. Rekha help back and watched for a bit.
Reaching the top first, Shikkar tried to force grab a chain and pull it towards Itself however it seemed to resist and pull away. Just as I reached the top of my pillar, Shikkar leapt at one of the ribbons just as it looked like It was about to to reach the scrap of fabric the chain sped up.
Obviously this task was going to be more than just an easy test of our agility and force powers, we had already demonstrated that several times. No this was a test of teamwork and cooperation. As I started to point that fact out Shikkar leapt for another ribbon but it looked like a miss step happened and looked like it was going to send Shikkar falling to the ground but Rekha's hand shot out with a surge of the force which boosted Shikkar and gave it just enough momentum to snag one of the ribbons.
Seeing all that I had an Idea, Rekha jumped up and stood on one of the pillars and I used the force to move Shikkar (with their disgruntled consent) towards a ribbon so that it moved right about Rekha who was able to jump up and grab it with ease. Then I moved Shikkar over to a pillar near myself so that ribbon was close enough to make a leap and grab landing on the arena floor.
Test past with flying colors, and a loss of credits for Master Michel and a win for Atton. I feel like side bets crosses some sort of ethical boundary but then its not like the currant makeup of the council is traditional anyway.
Congratulations and praise was short lived, as an explosion that shook the room taking everyone off guard for a moment and then we rushed from the room to see what was the cause.
In a Cantina Au in a far off Galaxy...
Personal Log #15. This is a comfy floor.
Training continues and I'm starting to work on a new theory that Atton is trying to make us immune to blaster bolts through repeated dosage and just calling it "deflection training"
Rekha and Shikkar both seemed to dial in on aimed deflection pretty quickly even to the point of sparing me a few more zaps. As with most things it seems I require a bit more time and practice. Overall Atton seemed pleased.
Personal Log #14, You're going to Force therapy even if I have to do it for you.
Combat is easy, its focused with a clear target to face. life is messy, chaotic, complicated.
In a fight there is only quick decisive action or inaction and mistakes leave their mark or remove you from the equation. Life makes you explain those decisions, success or failure is the same.
"Do you trust It?
I could smell that damn whisky on your breath, how many nights did I lay in bed with you, sick of the smell and noise of your drunken benders so close to almost be touching yet the distance might have been other planets between us. This morning it brought a small comfort that you are still breathing.
"I don't know if I trust It's Master, but It has been a valuable asset and a good team member and I'd rather keep working with It than lock It up or expel it. So yes I trust It, and hope we can remain allies with parallel goals."
Practice makes Perfect (you are going to have troubles with her)
Practice makes Perfect (Master Vrok has seen a calamity)
Practice makes Perfect (Its better to prepare her than face it alone)
Practice makes Perfect (The mine is being repaired)
Practice make Perfect (Lanverock is afraid, she deflects it on to others)
Practice makes Perfect (These skills are not mine but we've honed them for years)
Practice makes Perfect (such strong emotions, It is alone)
Practice makes Perfect (I-ts (we), not a person, we don't have to be alone)
"There is no emotion, there is peace. There is no ignorance, there is knowledge. There is no passion, there is serenity. There is no chaos, there is harmony. There is no death, there is the Force."
As I pursue and learn to trust the force more, where do I end and It begins? is there even supposed to be an "I" or is it better to be conduit to a force outside myself?
Am I learning to wield the force or another tool to be wielded a fate and will vaster than one.
I miss the sound of your voice, The press of your lips. calloused hands and warm ache of you running out of me, True heart. I don't expect forgiveness so I don't ask for it.
Personal Log #13
We arrived at the planet and located the temple that was the currant hold of a Holocron as well as former Sith students.
We landed in the day and after a bit of a hike through the muggy forest we located the grounds of a temple structure. Not knowing the exact number of potential sith we could be dealing with we opted to make a blind and waited for night to fall and hopefully stealthy assault.
During the wait we noted what security measures the ominous black stone structure had which seemed to be nothing to daunting. Some simple trip beams and the occasional couple of people on patrol.
When night finally covered the area we made our way to the temple between guard rounds, as we ran across the clearing we noted a number of largish divots in the area as well as a drastic temperature drop. It turns out that there was a venting system we were crossing. The strange thing is that sort of system would normally be expelling hot air if you where trying to cool off something like an underground structure So why the opposite?
Once we where inside it became clear. Well the result at least. Still not entirely sure of the why. The inside was a sweltering box of heat and the couple of sith students we manged to hide from that walked by where stripped down to the waist and making an aesthetically strong argument to switch sides. The short bit of their conversation seemed to suggest there was some plan going on and the next phase would be soon.
We continued down until we reached a large open room the center of which had a group of Sith chanting and meditating around the object of our search. A holocron, Also the outer edges of the room had an energy shield holding back a pool of lava, unusual for this area to say the least and definitely a part of the heat spike and venting system oddities but again not sure to what end.
There was an attempt to enter the room stealthily but as soon as Rekha made it in a large figure stood up and called out to her. Turns out it was her younger brother who was supposedly dead but apparently at some point joined the sith in pursuit of power which honestly is extremely understandable considering recent history. Also I think Rekha handled the news better than I did with Lucian.
Rekha and her brother traded words for a bit before a battle started. A flurry of blades and blows and it was clear the fight was going better for us than the sith students we where carving through. Brother decided to flee and attempted to take the holocron with him but Rekha managed to pull it to herself with the force and he had to abandon it as he climbed up one of the vents but not before disabling the force fields holding back the true heat of the lava it was truly a devastating level of heat but we managed to make it out of the room and through the temple though the final wait at the main doors slide open felt like an eternity.
Shikkar put in a call to J3 to pick us up with the ship as we left the temple and a short couple of minutes later he swooped in and we jumped aboard with our lives and holocron intact.
A silly non-cannon comic with Vazar facing off a Sith agent and getting a little confused as to whats going on.
