Seeing a lack of Sage in the upcoming X-men 97 cartoon is bothering me. If you had the ability to bring her into the show, or otherwise introduce Sage to the masses, how would you handle her story?

That's a good question. I'd include her as part of a season long arc about the X-Men taking on the Hellfire Club, with her first appearing as a background member but becoming more prominent each time she appears. Her actions are always at least a little bit to the benefit of the X-Men, but ambiguous enough that it doesn't immediately read as a betrayal to general audiences. It should leave the viewers who aren't already familiar with her guessing about her true intentions. At the end of the story arc she goes against Charles' orders to maintain her cover at any cost and turns against the Club to save one of the X-Men from them. We'd see an overview of her backstory, followed by her being captured by Sebastian Shaw in the aftermath of her heel turn and the X-Men organize a rescue mission for her. From there she, along with a few other X-Men, would become disillusioned with Charles Xavier and she'd join the main cast in a loose adaptation of the early days of X-Treme X-Men where she is trying to find her place as part of a team of heroes. She'd be a bit of an odd one out at first, with her teammates not quite knowing what to think of her, but she'd show herself to be one of the most caring and dedicated members of the team behind her cold exterior. I'd love to give her some conflict with the O5 X-Men stemming from Charles choosing them and not her to be on the original X-Men team, and of course she'd be given an arc about trying to redeem someone that the rest of the X-Men gave up on.

Basically I'd try to capture the mystery and intrigue she had before it was revealed she was a mole in the Hellfire Club, but much more intentionally and clearly than the few moments she had in pre-2000 comics, in order to get audiences curious and invested in her as a side character. Once that had been established she'd be showcased as part of a main cast.

Sorry about the long answer, but it was fun to think about.

New mutants x star wars doodles! I started drawing these for halloween last year but didn't finish them at the time, anyway I was going through some of my NM art bc I’m planning to put together a zine so I thought what the hell I'll add some quick colours to these

Having read nearly every series with Sage as a major character (currently unsure if I'll finish New Exiles and working through Krakoan Wolverine) it really strikes me as kind of sad that her relationships to other characters have never persisted past the series they appear in. Storm was very important to her in the early part of X-Treme X-Men, and I don't think they've really interacted much since. Bishop and her were like detective partners and they don't interact. Both Wolverine and Rachel Summers were on the team with her in Uncanny, and it doesn't come up again later when they're in X-Force. She had great interactions with both Omega Red and Domino during Krakoa that probably won't really get expanded on. Her animosity to Pete Wisdom was a huge part of her character in New Excalibur but it's never going to come up again.

Her rivalry with Emma is probably the closest thing to a recurring character interaction she has. Her past with Sebastian Shaw didn't even come up when she was dealing with him on the Quiet Council.

One of the best things about comics is characters having relationships that develop across years of stories, and I'm kind of bummed my favorite character doesn't really get that.

It's Sage appreciation day. I'm so happy my favorite niche character has enough of a following that something like this exists.

Teresia Karisik is one of the strongest women in the Marvel universe, and that's a competitive category. The world has given her every excuse to be a villain but she remains committed to the side of good, whether it be keeping Xavier's dream alive even when she didn't trust Xavier himself in X-Treme X-Men or being the moral compass of X-Force. She's often underappreciated by her allies but continues fighting for them all of the same.

My local community kind of exploded in the past few weeks, so I haven't been able to make a fic to mark the occasion, but here are some previous ones I already had about our favorite computer girl.

My still in progress fic about rewriting Tessa's time in the Hellfire Club, loosely inspired by the Handmaiden: The Heart of Hellfire. I do want to give a content warning for domestic violence for this one, Sebastian Shaw is an evil man.

Exactly one month to go for Sage Appreciation Day!!! Teresia Karisik is one of Marvel's best characters and a real hidden gem that deserves so much love.
