for the past couple month 4chan has been plagued by a hateful meme where they constantly imply liking fallout new vegas inherently makes you a transgender woman

we memed it from the left for so long that transphobes made it part of their witch hunt and rejected fnv en masse. and became staunch east coast defenders. which, if you can imagine, is blatantly pathetic and self-defeating.

anyway here’s fallout creator tim cain opening up about how he explicitly wagered his position at interplay to defend a trans woman

the good fallout games are trans territory. always were, always will be. it’s not even contested any more.

Manny grit his teeth. Boone was a good listener and a good friend. One who had sat and attentively listened to Manny’s tales of his Khan days. Stories of old loves, lost friends, past squabbles. He’d explained the scars from his initiation, the one under his chin when even the Ritemaster had hesitated, wondering if it was a blow too far. He thought Boone, of all the people in First Recon, understood. The Khans were just as much a part of Manny as the sun was to the sky. And yet here he was, talking about these people as if he didn’t know Manny’s baggage with fighting these guys.

If that’s how Boone wanted to act, that’s how Manny would treat him. Like a trooper who’d swallowed so many posters and radio shows back west that he couldn’t imagine even sharing a campfire with a raider without blowing their brains out. Not like a man who’d share bedroll and mess-tin with another who used to be one.

At least for some sex mod people, I think it's just, like, an immersion thing? Like the ultra-specific retexturing or physics mods. Like, I saw a post on Reddit just asking for tips on how to manage the breast milk maid cafe mod in Skyrim. Not "oh man, this is so hot", more "hey, what's the optimal milk/minute strat?" I do kinda love that the Khan's best ending comes from them just leaving. They just walked off. They left. If the situation sucks you can just leave. Khan's took that advice to heart. Papa Khan said "real winners quit".

In the middle is Kit Hester (fnv), my poor desert boy who hates this snow Very Much Thank You and wants to go back to the Mojave as soon as humanly possible. He and Arcade are scouting for the Followers.

On the right is Amelia Abrams-DeLuca (fo4), who vacationed here once before the war and is having a very decent time dragging Preston around trying to piece together the puzzle of the family who met their unfortunate end in the hotel after the bombs fell.
