I'm on this JoJo kick, and I just had a thought...

Wouldn’t it be great if JoJo performed and shared her story at the next Teen Choice Awards?

I remember her being the teen idol of the mid-2000’s, and then she disappeared. For awhile, no one knew why.

If you google what happened to her, you will find out about the unreasonable amount of pressure she was under, while signed with her old label. She spent ten years fighting a legal battle to release her from her contract and went through the darkest time in her life - but then, she started creating new music, underground, and became stronger in character and vocally, in the process. Not to mention, she took time to dabble in social justice and is now a vocal feminist and also publicly condemns the injustice of marginalized groups.

She’s a queen, all around. 👑

Last night, she released her first album in 10 years - MAD LOVE. I hope everyone listens to it and appreciates her stronger-than-ever voice and her message.

Back to my main thought - I hope JoJo returns to the TCA and shares what she endured and how she overcame it all, with today’s teens, especially considering that the hell she went through happened during her time as a teen idol. How many other teen stars are going through what she went through, right now? I imagine more than we realize…

I’m hoping she will continue to inspire others to fight for their voice, fight for their authenticity, and make the arts and entertainment industry better, for everyone involved.

Wait…What am I saying?

I know she will.
