There probably are very very few Rankin Bass blogs active in the middle of July but I am here to join them!

I am Lizard I use they/them/ze/hir pronouns I am a 22 year old transmasc genderfluid lesbian and I love Rankin Bass and especially Rudolph, in all his forms!! I am autistic and Rudolph/RB is one of my very, very biggest special interests, and has been since 2018 although I've loved them all my life.

I have dressed up as Rankin Bass characters for Halloween twice, Seymour S Sassafras from Here Comes Peter Cottontail in 2019, and Snow Miser (with my sib and mom as Heat Miser and Mother Nature) in 2021!

I collect Rudolph plushes and have also made dolls of Antoine from Here Comes Peter Cottontail and Jessica from Santa Claus is Comin to Town!

I don't know if anyone will see this but I would love LOVE to make Rankin Bass friends! I will hopefully be active on this blog and I follow from @wizardcore-lizard ! (Which is mostly inactive)

I am very much on a tumblr break but I just needed somewhere to say I Love Rudolph <3 I got a Rudolph stocking at the dollar store today! Rudolph makes me so happy.

On a completely different Miser brothers note, Snow Miser's voice in Miser Brothers Christmas sounds SO different from his original one that I struggle watching the movie at all, which is a shame because it is a fun one

What I say: I'm fine

What I'm thinking: in The Year Without a Santa Claus, Snow Miser calls Heat Miser his stepbrother, meaning they would have different biological parents, but Mother Nature logically seems to be the mother of both brothers. Heat Miser also says Mother likes Snow Miser best. Is their feud over Heat Miser not being accepted by his step family, or is Snow Miser the stepson and Heat Miser hates him for stealing his bio mother's love? Or are they actually half brothers with the same mother? Or does Snowy just call Heat Miser his stepbrother to indicate that they aren't "real" brothers because of their feud?

Rudolph getting back Frosty's hat from Winterbolt in Rudolph and Frosty's Christmas in July is possibly my favorite movie scene ever. . . . It makes me so happy :) I'm contemplating making it my pfp but I like all my current pfps!

Are any other Rankin Bass fans just big puppetry fans in general?

I've always been obsessed with the Muppets and all of Jim Henson's creations, and I love all sorts of stop motion movies. My two favorite movies outside of RB are Coraline and Labyrinth!

I've also loved attempting puppetry on my own, particularly through marionettes, but I'm not at all skilled at it. When I was little one of my dreams was to have a puppetry film studio called Mouse House Productions!
