As I’ve mentioned previously, breaking a new slave can be achieved without the stressful and really mildly effective direct torture methods used by younger and more inexperienced masters.
Take this creature, for example; it has been restrained in a stressful, properly submissive position and left to stew in the sun for hours. That alone would have a slave begging for respite, wny respite its master will allow, within a short amount of time.
But, the truly devilish part, is the metallic hood. Cast iron, clodding and all encompassing, it keeps the slave creature in the (literal) dark about where it is and who is there with it, if any.
Its sounds, for it allowed to go lightly gagged, reverberate back to it; the metal skin quickly grows hot under the blazing Summer sun, or very chill in the Winter cold, enhancing the effect of the weather on the creature.
Soon it becomes so tired that it cannot even contemplate making the herculean effort to raise its head, thus assuming its natural submissive stance. Particularly cruel masters can enhance this simple method by more brutal means, such as chaining the helmet so that the creature must support its weight, or even tapping on the helmet rhythmically with a small metal rod, causing reverberations that will leave the creature in panicked screeching and begging for mercy.
But remember, it is wise of a master to not overindulge in the torment of his slaves so that they would become unusable. This is but a mere tool to make a slave pliable for training.
There is no honour in being a master who tortures his creatures without rhyme or reason.
