The company had advertised holiday packages at the caravan resort with prices as low as £55 for a four-night stay. However, the offer was not widely available, as only one break at the lower price was on offer, instead of the five breaks customers were led to believe.

A customer filed a complaint with the Advertising Standards Agency (ASA) after spotting the promotion on Facebook. The ad claimed four-night stays at Penally Court Holiday Park were available from £55. According to Haven, the issue stemmed from booking errors and the limited availability of the site. The company also explained that while five dates were initially available at the discounted rate, several dates had already sold out or were listed with higher prices by mistake.

Inaccurate Pricing and Misleading Claims The ASA found that the ad's promotion of "4 nights from £55" and "4 nights from £59" created confusion for potential customers, as only a small portion of the available dates were actually available at those low prices. Furthermore, the promotions did not cover a broad range of dates, especially outside school holidays, which would lead consumers to expect a larger selection of affordable options.

In a statement, Haven acknowledged the mistake and confirmed that it would immediately halt all advertising related to Penally Court Holiday Park. "We are aware of the ASA's ruling and, in line with their assessment, we will pause all adverts for this location and ensure future promotions accurately reflect availability and pricing," said a Haven spokesperson.

The ASA concluded that Haven's ads violated advertising regulations concerning pricing accuracy, transparency, and substantiation, ruling that the claims made in the promotional materials were misleading.
