Data: "Counselor, I was recently informed of a human romantic activity by Lt. Commander LaForge known as 'baby birding.' I find Geordi's interest in this activity puzzling, however, as there are no avian species--infant or otherwise--aboard the Enterprise. Would you be able to provide some clarification on this activity?" Troi: (looking slightly bemused) "Day-tah, I wouldn't want to interfere with yours and Geordi's interests, but I must ask a question - how serious are you about yours and Geordi's relationship? Baby birding is no small matter. It requires trust and skill." Data: "Quite serious, counselor. Geordi and I have been undertaking a series of experiments regarding the human erotic arts, and I believe he wishes for me to explore exciting new avenues on my own initiative. Baby birding was simply the first activity he mentioned."
Troi: "Well, I wish you all the best in your explorations, but I don't know that I should be the one to explain the action to you."
Data: "I see. Thank you for your time, counselor." (gets up to leave)
Troi: "And Day-ta?"
Data: "Yes?"
Troi: "Don't use oatmeal."
Data: (gives it some thought, raises eyebrows in an intrigued manner, and then leaves.)
