L&T bags over ₹15,000 crore Adani Power order for 6,400 MW thermal project
Larsen & Toubro Ltd (L&T) has secured an ultra-mega contract from Adani Power Ltd to install eight thermal power units of 800 MW each, adding up to a total generation capacity of 6,400 MW. As per L&T’s classification, ultra-mega orders are valued at over ₹15,000 crore.
According to an exchange filing on Monday, the project will be handled by L&T Energy – CarbonLite Solutions (LTECLS), the company’s dedicated arm for advanced power and low-carbon technologies.
The contract covers end-to-end work, including the design, engineering, manufacturing, supply, and commissioning of Boiler-Turbine-Generator packages, along with auxiliaries and all related mechanical, electrical, and control and instrumentation systems.

Teleportation Apps: Forgot your coffee at home? No problem! A ‘Teleportation’ application would deliver it right into your palm. Late for a meeting? They simply report and with a tap of their finger you are right there. Goodbye, Uber! Mind-Controlled Typing: Why should one take the time to send a text, when you can just easily think out the message and get it across? Well, we’d see people typing an email and making dinner at the same time, as multitasking has been history! Time Travel Notifications: It tells you that you’re running late, even before the alarm goes off and for the iPhone 16… Now, you will never miss a deadline in your life. Virtual Shopping Fitting Rooms: Chat with your hologram and see how new garments fit your body. Me, comfortably lying on the bed can shop without even getting off the bed!
