Winnie The Pooh Nendo furniture collection
Japanese design brand Nendo made a collection of adorable tables inspired by Winnie The Pooh and his fellows. Pooh Tables were designed and produced especially for Disney, of course. Each corresponds to a posture and physical attributes of a certain animal, yet remaining very minimalistic. All made of maple wood, each 'dressed' in a distinct colourful knits. The pieces unfortunately won't be on sales, standing proudly in the Japan office of Disney. Both innovative and cute.

Meet Hanna Pordzik Berlin
Fascinated by the game of dimensions, Hanna Pordzik creates sculptural jewellery as well as products such as paper clips. Calling her work modelling of objects, Hanna works with resin, concrete, pyrite and of course metals. Inspired by geometrical forms, she fashions contradictory compositions that work perfectly. One of the most intriguing are hand-folded miniature origami doves set in resin pieces. Her cubical necklaces are adorned with trendy rose gold and silver corners whereas rings and money or paper clips are gold-plated.
The designer standing behind her eponymous label, established in 2011, graduated from Berlin University of Arts. With previous experience in costume design, Pordzik makes edgy items as if taken from a futuristic fantasy. They seem as if having an extraneous force hidden in their mineral forms.

Curated session by Dora Garcia and Guillaume Desanges Yesterday at the new PAMM (Perez Art Museum Miami) , art curator Guillaume Desanges in collaboration with artist Dora Garcia started an innovative project which proposed to curate a shown in one day. Guillame and Dora publicly brainstormed about thematics in her work. They formalize their ideas by using images, texts, words and objects articulated on the gallery walls. It was a way a great way to experiment with curatorial practice in a mode of emergency, spontaneity and collective intelligence.
Design Now, Design Futures
"Design is everywhere: the hand and mind of the designer are evident in all aspects of our daily experience, from the shape of our environment, to the fold of our shirts and the gesture we use to answer our phone."
Earlier this month I had the opportunity to attend the "Design Now, Design Futures" lecture at the YoungArts Campus in Miami, FL. It was hosted by Moma's Senior curator Paola Antonelli. And with special panel guests: Zaha Haddid and Frank O. Gehry; both architects and designers who have influence the world of design not only with their impressive building structures but also other areas such as fashion and object design. Some of the design trends discussed during the lecture are still on an early stage of development but are worth taking a look at, for example: Nano design, Visualization design, 4d printing, Lighting printing, and tissue design.
In a world that is increasingly designed, it's very exciting to know that there are so many new trends that will and are affecting the way we live.
