This poor thing...someone needs to put it out of it's misery.
One of my favorite baroque pieces. The unforgiving, harsh tone of the harpsichord. - Trevor
USA Spinning Bird - Pizza Party McCarthyism The brainchild of Brandon's love of Street Fighter and my pepperoni-fueled desire to make a song.
DARONDO!!!
Little bit late, but I thought it was worth sharing. The Disintegration Loops - d|p 1.1 The story behind this music is basically as follows: Early on September 11, 2001, William Basinski was finishing up a music project, converting reel-to-reel tapes to MP3. But unfortunately, as the conversion happened the magnetic particles in the tape were ripped out, resulting in a distorted lo-fi sound. He then saw two planes had hit the WTC, as he was listening to the recordings on his Brooklyn apartment rooftop with neighbors. They grabbed a camera and decided to film the smoke billowing from Ground Zero during the last few hours of daylight.
Shameless electronic music post. - Trevor
Been about nine-thousand years since I've posted on this blog. Here's some new nerd-rap, with countless references to alchemy, the internet, and latin. The song is called "A Lazy Coon's Obiter Dictum" by Milo, from the album Things that Happen at Night. It's also pretty catchy. This particular song was brought to my attention by my friend, Conrad. - Trevor
Since their earlier goth-gaze sound, Minks has taken a more accessible alt sound. I'm not complaining.
Searched the Coachella tag to find interesting folk, and I found this page. This is great! Keep up the great work guys!
Unfortunately, I've had to forgo going to Coachella (buying a car is more important now). But thanks anyways!
I'm throwing out a music recommendation. I think people should look up Leisure Suit and their self-titled EP for some pretty chill music.
Today was pretty boring, but it doesn't have to be as boring when listening to a band as awesome as The Prids.
I'm thinking of great albums to smoke to, and on the top of my list is Destroyer's Thief. The sound plays back on thoughts reminiscent of beautiful cafes on streets paved by hand. It screams for adventure, and that's all I want in the end; an adventure.
I think we should all just take a second to appreciate the organized madness that is "Goodbye Horses" by Q Lazzarus
Today in 1970, Charles Manson released his debut album "Lie: The Love and Terror Cult" from prison. Although 2000 copies were produced, only 300 were sold. The music doesn't ring psychotic or insane, but instead emits charisma. Its kind of chilling to know who Manson is and to hear his music. It's a pretty little gem of insanity.
Today, March 5, marks the birthday of one of the great guitarists of our time. A man who was playing guitar out of the womb. Who wrote songs about killing baseball teammates when he was in grade school. Who auditioned for up-and-coming band at the age of 19, after dropping out of high school, and in no time helped bring them the popularity they deserved. A man that lost sight of who he was and decided to quit the band and binge/soulsearch for a few years. A man who communicated to the spirits. A man who was at the brink of death and was saved by those former bandmates. A man, who like a phoenix, rose from the ashes of his former life and brought this band widespread popularity, fame and even a Grammy. A man who continues to innovate and create his own sound. Happy Birthday, John. Don't stop.
Been jamming out to New Order all day. Busy Mondays don't exist this week.

Oh, you've got blue eyes
Oh, you've got grey eyes
And I've never seen anyone quite like you before"
