Mannequins. A few years ago I had this awesome idea to use some mannequins for a shoot. And so ensued a month log hunt for 50 mannequins. I quickly realised that I couldn't afford to buy or rent that many so, I made do with 3. So it became a kind of a password, a clan name. "I'm Awright, you're Awright". This is Percy Vere. I met her one day while walking through the Occupy London protest camp at St Pauls. She was trying to have a civil conversation with the guy in the background who happened to be insisting that percy would be going to hell for her sins, on the other hand, the dude was pretty much convinced we'd all be going to hell for our sins and our greed and pretty much let the whole of St Pauls know by way of MegaPhone. At first Percy didnt want to pose in front of the camera but eventually came round to it, on the proviso that i make a donation of 50 pence. i didnt have 50 pence so i gave her a fiver instead and so, a mini photo shoot started! She was quite interested in the photos i was taking, and asked me to make sure that the lighting was right, how comes i didnt use a light meter, did i use RAW and oh, "what the hell are you going to do with the pictures anyway". it made me wonder what kind of life Percy used to live. It was during our session that she told me she had written a book and asked if i wanted a read, of course i said yes, if only to be polite at the time, but having started it im really glad that i did The text above is taken from Percy's book, called "Journey to myself." #london #streetphotog

Me at about 9:30 am on Sunday. Post 200km overnight bike ride. The Dunwich Dynamo is an annual cycling audax that starts at hackney in London and finishes 120 miles on a beach at the Suffolk Coast in a place called dunwich. It was mad fun and equally scary!! Kudos to the guy that did it on a bmx, the guy on a boris bike and of course, chapeau to @dear_susan_bicycles who, well apart from being funny as hell completed it on his tall bike. No really.
